People of Pakistan have articulated what they want and who they want to lead Pakistan in the political arena is indeed a fearless decision by voting on Jinnah's idealogies and not personalities. The Musharraf’s way of power is ‘demo-crazy’ and people have opted for democracy appropriately.
As the Gallup poll and other polls suggested before the elections, PPP and PML-N were supposed to get most of the votes and seats. The Gallup survey also educated that the trust in media and judiciary has augmented while the trust in parliament and army has reached near to the ground. PPP and PML-N should convey their gratefulness to the media as it has played an imperative role in conveying their significance to the masses. It shows the potency of the media which has productively install the system of ‘check & balance’ in Pakistan.
This election has once more substantiate the disapproval of ‘Pro-Bush governments’ as Rudd won elections in Australia, opposition forces won in Pakistan and optimistically the Conservatives will win in England. This vote has proved that people have voted against Musharraf, his despotism and his guidelines. Musharraf has said quite a lot of time that he would relinquish from his President Office if the unrestricted public proclaims that he has become detested. Sir, the people of Pakistan has uttered what they want through this election or in other words ‘the referendum on your future’. Thus, its time for you to go, the ball is in your court, it’s your choice if you want to leave civilly or to get impeached by the parliament or the judiciary discourteously.
