True Warriors...

Found this heaven on my way to Zhob from Loralai
I should have written this long time ago, but as soon as I returned from Balochistan, I was caught in the cage and chains from which everyone tries to escape from. Nevertheless, it is a constant struggle to break the shackles of urban life, to get freed is not as easy as we think because our enemy is within us; the enemy which we feed with our own hands – the materialistic self ego.

To defeat this sonofagun, one has to get rid of the fuel and the vehicle it rides on to command and control every aspect of our life and body. It needs to be starved and maybe that is the reason why we are told to fast. To completely let it go, food intake control is always not enough, we need to switch off the world outside us to realize the world inside us; the world where no one exists i.e. where you find Him and find yourself in seclusion.

During my recent trip to Balochistan, I found such places of seclusion; especially, on the way to Zhob from Loralai through the deserted roads constructed most probably by the British from Mekhter Junction. I desired to stop, sit, think and desired to self realize and find Him to find peace. Though, I believe one has to travel in order to redefine oneself, but I realized it is not about my peace of mind anymore; I believe it’s not about give and take anymore, its just about giving and that is how one can reach salvation.

On my way to Zhob through the deserted plains and mountainous havens, I did not panic once. Well, I did not have another choice and I do well when I do not have much option. It took 6 hours of ‘off roading’ to cover 218 kilometers where life ceased to exist most of the time. But, at times, from nowhere a young shepherd with his flock of sheep used to come, stare at me and shock me for a while and my usual question to my driver Rasheed Lala used to be: “Ye Kahan se aya, Lala?” (From where did he come?)…

Rasheed Lala in his usual chuckling tone, “Pata nai yaar” (Don’t know friend...)

For most of the time, there was no road, after travelling for 3 hours down the tranquil atmosphere, we reached at Murgha Kibzai – surely a ghost town. From Murgha Kibzai, one road turns towards Zhob and the other one towards Musakhail District. We had tea over there and I interviewed the chap, Sakhi Jaan (generous life, yeah I know the translation doesn’t make much sense), who runs a ‘hotel’ (restaurants are usually called hotels in Pakistan). He has been running it for decades and showed me the delicacies he cooks day in day out. Took his photographs and showed him the pictures on my digital camera, surely the technology astonished him and I could see him moving around with his chest lifted a tinge. He was telling his customers that the story of his hotel would be published in Islamabad. I told him, the world will know about it, not just Islamabad.

Throughout the route, I decided to sustain myself to laugh until I see life everywhere once again i.e. until I see Zhob. Lala did not show a sign of irritation when I constantly reminded him of his long lost love, losing the track and that we have certainly lost our way and are in Afghanistan. After going through which many will term as ‘an ordeal’, I reached Zhob, that too in the Cantonment Area, relief!  Zhob was known as Fort Sandeman long back, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto changed its name to Zhob. I stayed at “The Castle” built by Lord Sandeman once again - as it was my second trip - but it did not excite me much this time round. I guess I am used to living like a king whenever I visit Zhob.

My next stop was Sui, which is in Dera Bugti, where I have heard people are against Punjabis, I was born in an Arab country which did not give me nationality, so I am from the Punjab province due to descent, that means I am in trouble. This was a problem and was the biggest one without doubt - I had no idea how to deal with it. The flight from Zhob to Karachi via Quetta was no doubt the worst flight I ever took – I had never witnessed so much turbulence during a flight. A medical team was called to check the condition of the Captain, when the flight stopped at Quetta; that is how bad it was. The flight to Sui was the worst, the Beech 1900 plane is an 18 seater plane, size of a drawing room above the average size, and when it flew through the air pockets in Dera Bugti, the plane used to lose altitude of more than 20 – 30 feet in one go. I asked for forgiveness throughout the flight and begged to be given another chance in life.

As soon as I reached Sui, I was welcomed by a young guy we have recently employed at Taaleem Foundation. We have thrown a Lahori dude to work in Sui and he is certainly not there just for money, the passion to succeed through the hardest channel is surely his desire, in fact I believe he has decided that it is his need to make the two ends meet in this fashion. I call people like him professionals and that’s how one should make a career i.e. by living like a dare devil. Our Sui School is run by an enthralling couple which decided to serve in Dera Bugti as soon as they graduated and got married. The adventure for them is still continuing and from the look of it they are enjoying the experience like anything. Providing education, that too English medium in a co education atmosphere in Balochistan is surely an adventure in every aspect; in which they thoroughly rejoice.

Anyways, I saw security guards, army personnel and FC guards in less than 2 kilometer of travel from the airport to the school. Due to the gas field, Sui is a highly protected area. For those who have forgotten or do not know, Sui is in Dera Bugti District where we get our CNG and cooking gas from and the operation was launched on Nawab Akbar Bugti and his followers by the sense less and the most useless President of Pakistan – General Pervez Musharraf - in its vicinity.

I thought I would camouflage myself and the beard did help a great deal. But, I wanted to run back to the Airport as soon as I got to know that the last name of my driver in Sui was Bugti. For a second, I did panic, because here I was standing at the core where all the insurgency, hatred and separatist movements began and shook all parts of Balochistan and I was being told that a Bugti was going to take me around! But, I do well when I do not have much option and decided to live this one out.

To my surprise, the young boy was really humble and he did not have any feelings against me or my race, some still say he was hiding it. But, I could see it that this was not the case. Yes, Nawab was his leader, a leader he respected so much that he could have given his life; maybe I think. But, I was a guest and guarding me and providing me hospitality was a matter of honor too.

Coming back to Sui, you can fry an egg on the roof top of your car in Sui, that’s how hot it is in Sui; I usually preferred to stay indoors. Qadeer Saab, a senior and experienced teacher at our school and a funny character, did a good job at convincing me to go to Dera Bugti and I would have gone if I had more time. I have to go to Dera Bugti town the next time I come which is just 40 kms from Sui town; for now I convinced him to show me Sui – the Sui which was at the other side of the secured fencing area. We left without guards and he showed all the meaningful places over there. The Bugti fellow was with us too who drove us to the Military College Sui and other historical places such as the Bugti palace which is now under the control of security forces. The Army has recently opened a college and after 6 years the first batch of “Hub-ul-Watan” 30 captains would pass out, which the local populace has appreciated a lot, to my surprise.

We took some cold drinks to get some respite from the killing summer heat in the middle of the bazaar and nothing happened to me and to the other two Punjabis with me. After not being shot at the bazaar, I concluded the gist of the Balochistan situation: people over there do not hate us as we are told by the news we see scrolling day and night on our television sets, actions have to be taken to see that basic amenities are provided and the court has to provide justice they have been waiting to hear for more than a couple of years. I headed off to Karachi from there in the same aircraft, the journey was no better than the previous one, but as I said I do well when I do not have much options.

“I do well when I do not have much option”, I have said that more than a couple of times during this blog. You must be wondering why? Well, I learnt that due to Masood Baluch a.k.a. Munna Bhai. He was one of the first sophisticated Baluchs I met in my life, a (he is going to love this one) young and an energetic fellow who has done MBA and when he starts talking or working, even the whites wonder “Aey kitho aya hai?” (From where did he come?), you rarely find such species in Baluch people or in any race for that matter. But, he has got a problem; this guy gets confused whenever he has to choose a restaurant for dinner. For hours, at times, we used to roam around on the roads of Sharjah in wee hours to decide whether we should eat fast food, arabi, desi, pizza, meat, vegetables, lentils, spicy, Chinese, Italian, Indian, Ghora, Ghadda, Insaan … and the attitude did not change a bit till I was there. Now, he is married and I guess his better half has been successful somehow to tame the fellow. There were so many options and Munna Bhai over there; that I realized I can never do well when options are available because I used to be as confused as he used to be due to the availability of so many options!

I was meeting with him after sometime and it is always a pleasure to meet this Baluch family which I consider mine. Met her sister - who I consider as my phuppo (aunt) - and stayed at their place for two nights. After a long trip in Balochistan covering more than 2000 kilometers on the road it was good to be at home with people who are more close to me than my family at times. Shared my experiences of the war, the wild and the wilderness and heard some old stories from their side.

The one which I will end this blog with is going to shape my life, if it has not already, and of many others. This is from the experience they shared in Karachi round about 1 AM, the perfect time for such talks:

(Get your bowl of popcorn and drinks...)

My Phuppo went to Iraq to become a doctor. Everything was going merry go lucky in Baghdad. Unfortunately, the First Gulf War started round about the same time. I have always known her as an iron lady, but never knew her courage was much more beyond what I had perceived. She decided not to leave Iraq because she did not want to lose a year of education, such dedication is not easily digestible, please bear I can understand your how tough this is to believe. But, this is true.

She decided to stay and she informed her family that her decision is final. She decided to grab the bull by the horns and tame it into a pussy cat, her family lost contact with her for full 6 months which was an ordeal for all parties. She survived bomb attacks, missile attacks and “you-name-it” and she survived it boi! She used to ‘dry’ the food – tomatoes, bread and other vegetables – with her cousins on roof tops and survived on it for months. At times, the bread used to get so hard that it was hard to bite and digest. She came up with a solution, she cooked a stew which was as good as boiled water and all the survivors used to dip the bread in it, make it soft and gulp it down. Well, I can never praise her for that effort.

When they were out of supplies, they just used to have one glass of milk as their only meal for the day. At times, they had to shift into bunkers during heavy fighting; one such bunker got hit and could not survive the hit. More than 5000 people burned to death not due to the after effects of a missile attack, but due to the hot water system in the bunker which got jolted due to the hit. The dead were not taken out, the smell was too unpleasant.

The sacrifice she made to achieve her dream is what we need from future leaders of Pakistan and what we need to do ourselves. I might be wrong, but I guess her dream was not just to become a doctor, as she has Baluch blood running in her body, she is a fighter by descent and did not want to escape when the tough becomes toughest straightaway, I don’t even know that has she realized this or not up till now, but chances are that she has not because being strong physically and mentally is a natural instinct of a Baluch. She could not disown the land which was not even hers, this was the country which promised to educate her when the rest refused or did not bother.

When she arrived back to her family, at the airport, there was a crowd to welcome the hero back. She told an airport official, pointing at the waiting lounge, from left to right, from one point to the end. “You see over there, that is my family which has come from all parts to welcome and receive me”, the official at the airport was spell bound, I was spell bound; I had tears of joy in my eyes, though I could not let it out because the Baluchs would have harassed me for the rest of my life, as I was living the moment there and then. Phuppo, I feel I was there at the airport, I felt I was there to receive you…

Such people I look up to. Such true warriors I meet everyday in my life. Such people He has decided that I have to take lessons from and I can only testify that we think that we plan and carry out what we do, but in reality He plans and we do what He commands; no doubt He is The Best Planner and we are nothing...

Action speaks LOUDER than words..

After the success of Long March, the serving leaders in myriad of ministries would have apprehended that the seats they yearn for before the elections are really blistering instead of being comfortable. That goes for our government officials and the honorable Chief Justice also. Everyone has innumerable tasks to deal with, and the paramount part is that the general public is keeping an ogle on their activities consistently, thanks to media.

Presently, the government has to liaise with the SWAT situation and socio/economic crises, the opposition needs to give invaluable advice and exercise their power to help the public. Moreover, the judiciary has an important task: to provide justice to those who have been treated unjustly due to illegal and unconstitutional measures. Additionally, all of them are answerable to the public now, very contrasting to the situation a couple of months back. A revolution of fair accountability has arrived and the leaders have succumbed by genuflecting. For example, the judiciary crisis recently solved saw the President, Prime Minister and the ruling party, accepting the reinstating of Chaudary Ifthikar and his colleagues by surrendering, even though unwillingly.

Hence, the people are looking at their leaders, political and that in judiciary, because they 'think' that they are the catalyst to provide and maintain peace. Yes, people have started to 'think' and that makes the government nervous and should make the judiciary too. There is no place for injustice to make its home in Pakistan, and if it does then a finale Long March is on the cards to get rid of indolent political leaders and judges.

Respect Time...and time will respect you!

People who don’t care about time, time do not care about them. Sadly, it is going to be two years, since Chaudary Ifthikar was criminally removed from his administrative center. Surprisingly, he fought against the odds with the help of Chaudary Aitzaz Ahsan and got re-instated. But, another illegal move from the oppressor of people's determination detached him from the helm of affairs.

Fast-forward from November 2 2007, the incumbent leaders of today won the elections by chanting the slogan – "Chaudary Ifthikar is our chief justice!" - Today they have forgotten their pledge and brought ignominy to the dead soul of the Late Benazir Bhutto who also supported him. Interestingly, his foes, friends before, have raison d'être for not reinstating him. Some say, he is too biased to be a judge while some have gone so low integrity-wise that they pronounce – "We cannot remove Dogar because he is also a Chief Justice now". The point is that if the actions of November 2 were illegitimate than any selection according to it is also illegitimate. This can be identified by a child in a crèche then why cannot our leaders comprehend this?

According to my knowledge about the Pakistani headship, I can easily say that our political forces exchange blows for those causes in which they have personal gains and vice versa. From Zardari to Nawaz Sharif or Qazi Hussain Ahmad to Imran Khan, all are skirmishing for their personal/political gains. But in our system which is so shady and deceitful, it's better to support those who favor the desires of a larger community, even if they are doing it for their own promotion.

Leaders in office who think Chaudary Ifthikar is a political figure need to get their heads examined because, fortunately for him, he has not passed a political testimonial and has remained tight lipped about the political affairs. If a political party/parties support him that does not entail that he has become a political figure. As a matter of fact, political parties get their support from the masses and they are the best representation of the general public. So, if a segment of people does support him, then what’s wrong in it?

Importantly, it should be remembered that Chaudary Ifthikar is not as white as milk or an angel, many or most of the populace know about it. He rose to command during Musharraf's regime, took oath on PCO and did not address against him for a stretched era. Was it the Steel Mill's case or an individual squabble, I don’t know. But, most of the people support him because he has been the first government official who did not bow his head according to the wishes of a martial despot. It was because of the lawyer's movement that Musharraf had to completely resign and Zardari should be extremely thankful for it. Moreover, no one deserves to be kicked out of work like this, be it Chaudary Ifthikar or a clerk. In fact, after his re-instating, expectations of the general public would be high from him i.e. if he supports the unruly then surely you will see another movement, and this time against him. But today, his supporters are still singing the mantra to get him reinstated though at the moment it's falling on deaf ears.

It is going to be two years soon, and nothing fruitful has shaped up till now. Forlornly, Musharraf is enjoying a content lifestyle, giving lectures at Stanford, where instead he should have been in jail at this instant with the present president. This is the quirk of fate of Pakistan – "Chor gaye aur luteray agaye!" – Thieves are gone and dacoits have come to loot 'n' rule.

I deduce and desire that Zardari completes his term or stays a little longer because the public of this country will only then find out how to vote when they are pushed to the edge of the knoll. Respect time and time will respect you; take judgments prompt, because justice delayed is justice denied, otherwise all and sundry might go down the hill, and it will surely hurt if it doesn’t slay.

Banu Attacks

American spy planes attacked Banu today killing 7 people.

Banu, is an area which comes under the Federal Authority, therefore this attack is definately on Pakistani soil and it requires a strict action. Moreover, this attack has increased the hatred in the people of Pakistan for the American and its own government too for various and obvious reasons. If the Pakistani government 'silently' supports the American Agenda i.e. by giving a free hand to the Americans ,which it is doing currently, the current situation will take an extreme turn to doom for them. But, what the Americans and our government always forget is that when people turn upto the streets in this country, then its always the people who are victorious. Mr. Zardari do you want to exit the same way Ayub, Zia and Musharraf went?

The financial crunch has made aid indispensible for our survival. Therefore, the sorry state of affairs in this country has made the oppressor attack Pakistan at ease. As usual for the past few decades, they give Pakistan a few billion dollars, because they know that the government shuts its mouth when the men in power digest some money into their bellies. Interestingly, this is one of the reasons for the continous financial crisis in this country, because when the the people of Pakistan have to pay it back through inflation and high utility bills, which is surely just because we do remain silent and we should pay the price too. This needs to be stopped as it cannot be tolerated as valuable lives are being lost each day. Moreover, its a violation which boils the blood of many and of anyone. Americans attacked Japan in the 40's when the latter attacked Pearl Harbour, do the Americans want us to follow their steps?

When a criminal is at the peak of success in his business, he forgets that he is making his house out of cards which will bring him crashing down if people plan to blow it down. It happened with several of our leaders - Ayub, Zia & Musharraf - our government is sadly doing the same, their 'silent cooperation' to the Americans is increasing nationalist feelings among people.

Interestingly, a British who visited the 'United India' couple of centuries back said to his generals that the people of this country have such strong bonds that it will be really difficult to conquer it. The solution he suggested was the divide and rule. The British applied it and acheived their desired results, India applied it and we lost East Pakistan, Americans are trying to do the same - are the people ready to bear the consequences?

Marriott Bomb Blast

The Bomb blast in the Marriot hotel in Islamabad has brought Pakistan to a point which has shaken it from its base. Every Pakistani has been pushed into a maze of questions which were deemed sacrilegious to our nationalism sometime back. But now the answers to these questions are the key to our survival.

Why was Pakistan created? What are Pakistanis – Either Nationalists or Muslims or a mixture of both?

Pakistan was formed in 1947 for the Muslims residing in the Indian Sub continent. The cause purely for its creation was that the Muslims just couldn’t live to tell the tale by co-existing with the Hindus and vice versa. The tolerance between the Muslims and Hindus got dented heavily and the handshake of peace between the two broke hells loose – thus this 500 year rapport, older than the Mughal Empire came to an end on 14th August 1947 with Pakistan gaining its freedom from the British and the Indians simultaneously. Interestingly, the British applied the ‘United we stand, divide we rule’ formula brilliantly and reaped the the fruits for it. ‘The division of the golden bird’ was the name of the fruit which was toxin for this part of the world and tonic for another.

Moreover, Pakistan has gone through an out of the ordinary 60 years which were full of empty slogans used by the people in power who had more interests for themselves than for their countrymen. Ayub gave us some, Bhuttos gave us plenty and Musharraf gifted the most implausible one – ‘Sub Se Pehle Pakistan’.

Qs- ‘What’s wrong with it?’
Answer – ‘What’s right in it?’

It did create sentiments in the people to think about their country, which is good, Agreed. But the problem is that it just created nationalists mind-set which are secondary to every Pakistani, the primary is the Islamic ones because that is what we are based on. The meaning of Pakistan is that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. We are Muslims first and Pakistanis secondary. If my name is told to a westerner, the first thing he would say is that, ‘Oh! That’s a Muslim name’. So the matters rest there.

Noticing, the above paragraph one would understand why we exist as a different country in this Indian Sub Continent. There are only two countries in the world that were made in the name of religion – one Pakistan and the other Israel. Please become aware of the fact that we have got a crescent in our flag which symbolizes Islam while the Star of David on the flag of Israel shows their strong Jewish sentiments. So being a Nationalist is nothing to be proud but actually to be ashamed of and that goes for the liberation armies in Balochistan too. Therefore, we cannot put the Islamic ideologies on the back burner. Mr. Two face who was overthrown by ‘The Dark Knights’ after 9 years of evilness, Mr. Musharraf, slyly applied the same formula of ‘Divide & Rule’ during his tenure, because he wanted to transform Pakistan into what Uncle Sam desired.

Damage: The slogan created nationalist feelings in the people of Pakistan which brought dreadful results for this country. Firstly, a majority of people thought the bombing of Afghanistan after the 9/11 ‘fake drama’ was right – what the poor souls did not know that Uncle Sam was not against a particular nation but he was against an ideology. For America, communism was a threat to their free market enterprise system, so they destroyed and yes applied the divide formula again to disintegrate USSR into several countries. Secondly, the same way the Islamic way of living a life was also becoming a threat because it was turning Sams into Sameers. Thus, the Americans had to do something, and they did that on 9/11/2001, demolished the WTC building by using the controlled demolition processes used to bring down skyscrapers when they turn old. They blamed the Afghans for it, made a way into the fields to wipe us and our ideology out of this God’s green world.

Current Scenario: The previous government and the current government in Pakistan are still supporting the sentiments of the Americans and sorry to say are paying the price for it. They have bought nationalists feelings for the price they paid to America for adopting their thoughts. These thoughts are termites which have eaten up the peace in Islamic world.

Solution: The government should join hands with all the current parties in the assembly and out of it to build a national consensus policy to tackle these situations, suicide bombing & baseless attacks on Agencies in FATA, where innocent Pakistanis are losing their lives daily which in fact are regularly shaking our nation and its people. We need to solve this dilemma through negotiations and not by the use of arms because no one will drop weapons if you continue to kill their brothers. The power of revenge and hatred develops so harsh feelings that at times one forgets the laws laid down by God. It’s only the power of love which can transform this lunacy to serenity.

MUSHARRAF SHOULD BE IMPEACHED

Why Musharaf should be impeached?

Unfortunately, people who benefited from the era of Musharraf ask – Why Musharaf should be impeached? - I haven’t heard a sillier question than this in my short span of 22 years. Assumingly, I am ‘sure’ people have become blind due to the illusion he has created with the help of his finance manipulators – e.g. Shaukat Aziz. But that doesn’t mean other senses stop working, especially ‘sense of shame’.

What’s that! (I can hear someone saying that, right now!)

Well, ‘sense of shame’ is essential to live a life with good morals. If ‘sense of shame’ goes into a deep slumber then indulging in evil practices would be deemed noble. Most of the people possess this sense which assists them to avoid indulging in sinful activities, accept their mistakes and take concrete measures to avoid repeating it. The point to mention this type of sense was to make it easy for the ‘gypsies’ in the ‘pro-Musharraf bandwagon’ to understand that he ‘should’ be impeached. Mr. (self proclaimed) President does not have this particular sense and I believe who don’t have this sense are ‘shameless’ and ‘senseless’ i.e. such a person is not fit to represent us. Hilariously, he boasts that he took money for the people he handed over to Americans and did not give them for free. Wow!

When someone is given the authority to do a task that means he is responsible for it too. So it’s silly for Musharraf to blame the incumbent government for the current crises – the crises which started to unfold after his mismanagement which brought dilemmas manifold. Although, Musharaf was not given the authority but people did give him the task to perform well but he failed miserably.

Therefore, the best advice for Mr. President is to avoid indulging in further immoral activities-money making, frauds such as Steel Mill & Stock Exchange, treason and violating the Islamic code and constitution-and quit from his office, stand in the court for a trial and accept his mistakes. I will recommend him to learn from the judges who stood for the restoration of justice and pledged that they would change the sham way of judiciary by not bending their backs in front of the powerful. I would recommend him to stand in the court and accept his mistakes, who knows he might get punished less for his show of bravery and humbleness which he has not showed up till now. And if he does this, I will be the first Pakistani to salute him for accepting his heinous crimes because no one has the guts to do such a thing – What do you say, President?

Brave PAKISTAN is a threat to USA.

We hear everyday by the media of Musharaf’s coalition partners that Pakistan is a terrorist state. Moreover, we were told that we would be sent back to the Stone Age at the time of Afghan war post 9/11. Nevertheless, we are warned by Uncle Sam day after day to sort things out or else they would come to sort it out. We have two neighbors whose public are not against us but the Governments surely are. Wretchedly, we can boast that we are the country most affected by suicide bombings. Just like a dam overflows with water and destroys livelihood nearby, which is not happening here but definitely not a difficult task, several questions have arisen due to these uncertainties which is causing destruction to the minds of the natives here. Questions are simple and Answers are even simpler.

QUESTIONS

Why does USA want to destroy Pakistan like it destroyed Afghanistan and then Iraq?

Why our neighbors find us a threat and make us scapegoats for the mess in their own house?

Why is Pakistan been targeted by suicide bombings continuously without fail?

EXPLANATION TO SIMPLE ANSWERS(Super Wise Folks Scroll down to ANSWERS)

Well as I said it’s simple. USA has a history of meddling in the affairs of countries which are threat to its ideology. Their ideology is completely based on the theory of capitalism where profits are more important than mankind. USA has fought with Germany, Japan, Italy, Vietnam, Korea, Soviet Union, China Iraq and Afghanistan in the past and present as it became a threat to the existence of its ideology. Germany, Japan and Italy were targeted because they tried to wipe the Jews from God’s green earth. Vietnam, Korea, Soviet Union and even China were attacked because communism attacks capitalism just like uproar attacks peace. Moreover, Iraq and Afghanistan are always feared by the West for their history and present. It’s not too long ago for one to forget the might of Changez Khan and the history of the Babylonians who crushed the biggest armies of that time. Moreover, Taliban’s ideologies were at times too strict which were not always in accordance to the teachings of Islam but it scared USA because Taliban was united, had faith in God and were disciplined. Although I disagree with their severe and at times fatal approach towards to issues related with women in particular.

Our neighbors, India and Afghanistan, are actually not scared. Instead, they are weak to handle us alone and for that matter of fact are as cunning as a fox. If we were puny for India, we would have not survived six days rather than six decades, India should have swallowed us up. While the Afghan Government just controls Kabul and some provinces which makes them too frail to open up the pages of the bloody history and claim parts of NWFP and Balouchistan as theirs, but Karzai uses this ploy for adding fuel to fire. Therefore, our smart neighbors blame us for anything it can be a bomb blast, piracy etc. and who knows we might be even blamed for pollution because we love potatoes and fatty foods! Their approach is simple, blame Pakistan and tell media ‘YOU wanted a hot cake, here it is!’, so that Uncle Sam knows about it and create problems later. Hey, don’t think US bureaucracy is dumb because they fall for their gimmicks; they need alibis to feed their pets in Pakistan and assure the West with the same morsel that they are just trying to eliminate terrorism and help ‘Pakistan secures its strategic assets’.

‘Suicide Bombing’ has become one of the ‘three things’ every Pakistani thinks and says ‘Oye! Aey teen kitho aye? (Oy!from where have these three have come?). We have earned this punishment because we overslept or in fact are still sleeping. We got this punishment for killing our Muslim brethren. Why? Simple, we forgot that God who blessed us with our desire for an Islamic State. We kill our Muslim brothers every day because Uncle Sam is actually a blood thirsty vampire? Why do we worry when people die in a suicide attack when we kill each other daily on the Afghan Border, death is death right? Then why weep! God actually made things easy for us. He saw that we desired to kill our race so he’s helping us in it, right? WRONG, and if someone really asks this question, he/she/it needs to get its head examined!

ANSWERS
USA wants to wipe us out because :-
- Our Islamic ideologies are against capitalism;
-This country is one of the two countries made in the name of religion and ours throws shrills down the spine of the second one – Israel;
-We have successfully fought with superpowers without any fear such as the UK monarchy, Indian oppression, USSR in Afghan War and Israel through secret missions;
-We are the only Islamic state threat to their livelihood because we have got the BOMB!

The neighbors find us a threat because Pakistan’s a good place for them to wash their dirty linen. Thanks to our leaders who allow them.

Suicide Bombing will get eradicated as soon as the majority realizes the reason for this Muslim State.

To conclude, we should look at few aspects. Pakistan is a threat EVEN if Musharraf continues to lick Uncle Sam’s muddy boots day and night for the Zionist. Pakistan is STILL a threat for the evil though we don’t have a basic principle of our religion applied to our governance-justice. So, we should be proud of what we are and thank God to chose us the ‘chosen ones’. Lets start teaching our kids from today by telling them that they have not come in this world JUST TO GET EDUCATED, GET A JOB, MARRY& HAVE BABIES. Tell them the reason for his/her existence by telling them the reason for the creation of this world. In order to do this we need educational reforms in Islamic and World studies as fast its possible because we have got literates round here who are damaging our pillars with their illiteracy. Just like the Maulana in our town mosque who happens to be the caretaker of the mosque too. He is quite educated and tells public about Islam but, yes there is a big BUT to this. When my grand father told him that everyday someone is losing their shoes due to theft and suggested to allow him to keep shoe racks for the safe-keeping of footwear, the Maulana replied, ‘Miti jama hojayegi,na?’(Dust would be accumulated, right?)

US doing what its best at - meddling in our in house affairs once AGAIN

USA has the flair of meddling in our domestic affairs and has once more proved this notion correct. A US congressional panel by Sheila Jackson Lee, a congresswoman, was told on Wednesday the PPP was doing a good job in Pakistan while Nawaz Sharif needed to be watched. As a matter of fact, since the February elections, the only job the coalition is doing is to find the common ground for the restoration of judiciary.

Therefore, it can be assumed that the reason Sheila Jackson is singing songs full of praises for PPP because the Americans approve the stance of Mr. Zardari which is the re-instatement of the judges and the continuity of the PCO judges – the judges who took oath on the draconian law of PCO. In fact, the Americans don’t want the judges back because they want crisis to reign in Pakistan. The reason for this ghastly objective is that they are well aware that if there is peace in the country which gained freedom in the name of religion then the Israeli stance on Palestine would be threatened. The US government knows that Pakistan can be a threat to their support of Israel because in the Russian-Afghan war they have seen the dedication of the Jihadis, which is capable to topple any superpower.

Moreover, Sheila Jackson said that PPP was levelheaded in not having a ‘one on one’ fight with Musharaf which means they believe that they want the heads of each and everyone to be examined! She also expressed that toppling Musharaf would be perilous because he has ‘extensive experience’ in dealing with terrorists. Her statements force the mind to ponder about the pros of his ‘extensive experience’. His experience could not make the Americans win the war in Afghanistan, control the suicide bombs nationwide and bring peace in the mind of the people. The question is – What is the use of such extensive experience when there is no use of it, instead all this has brought is destruction.

America would continue to manipulate our politics because a stronger Pakistan is a threat for the Zionists. Sadly, some Pakistanis, who don’t deserve to be called one, are supporting the American dream of the New World Order where Zionist and opportunists will rule and loot the world. On the other hand, it’s sharing nuclear technology with the Indians in order to make our arch rival stronger so that if there is an uprising in Pakistan against United States of America, it can use India as a weapon.

It is advisable for the leaders of our country to take a tough stance and to enlighten America not to interfere in the running of our house. Our politicians are very well versed in speaking against US ideologies but once they come in power, they don’t fight like Ahmedinejad because they let the Americans buy them, just what Zardari did after the elections. Pakistan has to take the risk of telling the American to remain in their limits and need to remind them that the meaning of Pakistan is that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. When Musharaf says, ‘Pakistan first’, he tries to portray that nation first and religion later on. But how is this possible when the meaning and identity of Pakistan is Islam. Therefore, leaders should develop the courage and to take the risk to throw the relationship Musharaf has constructed with the American Government into garbage, which is evil from every angle, because if you don’t take risks, you don’t drink champagne. We should take this step because as the saying goes- ‘Beshak, Allah madad karney wala hai’.

Zardari - Dont commit to another Mistake

Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has issued a long charge-sheet against the deposed superior court judges, saying they never came to his rescue and were responsible for his eight years in jail. We heard about political victimization but Zardari is giving birth to judicial victimization. Zardari wants to victimize the judiciary because they did not favor him is unjustified. It’s correct that the deposed judges did not release or pardon for him because they, the government and the people of Pakistan are very well aware of Zardari’s corruption during Benazir’s tenure. Some sources claim that Zardari doesn’t want these judges to come back because they nullified the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO),the same order which has given him indemnity and has freed him from all his pending cases. But he fears that if these judges came back they would nullify the NRO once again and he might then have to face the courts again.

The Nation is disappointed to hear ‘the charge-sheet’ issued by the PPP co-chairperson against the deposed judges. During the Central Executive Committee(CEC) meeting almost 60 per cent of the co-chairman's speech was on Aitzaz Ahsan and the judges. Zardari is criticizing the deposed judges for not giving him parole when he required it to attend the funeral of his nephew few years back. This is wickedness of the first order from his side. The people voted against the Musharaf forces and for restoration of the judges, it’s now the duty of Zaradari and Nawaz Sharif to fulfill the promises. Moreover, Zardari does not have the right to play with the mandate people have given to reformist forces.

It’s important to note that his late wife never included him in CEC of the party, reasons are plentiful. Firstly, she knew that he’s regularly involved in kickbacks. Secondly, if Benazir was alive she would have not joined hands with MQM because they collapsed her first government, caused the May 12th incident in Karachi when several people lost lives because of the ‘wild-fire’ from MQM workers, were behind the Oct 18 blast, killed party loyalists Murad Baloch and Munawar Suhrawardy. Horrifically, Zardari went to the Nine Zero – the headquarters of MQM- to express solidarity with the MQM against the wishes of the nation. In the name of re-conciliation and unity government, he has brought humiliation to the people of Sindh who voted for Bhutto, Idealogies of PPP and against Musharaf’s atrocities and not for his personal agenda.

People like Zardari and Chaudary Shujaat Hussain should learn from the past because Pakistan People’s Party, Bhutto Family, Pakistan Muslim League has lost lives and dear ones due to a weak judiciary. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s death was a judicial murder because once cannot be sentenced to death for conspiracy. Additionally, Shujaat Hussain’s father was shot viciously because he did not approve the policies of the Late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Although Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto got hanged, they did not get true justice and protection because of weak judiciary, puny police and off the limits strong Army. Its advisable for Zaradari not to dance on the tunes of Musharaf and support the restoration of the judges because he would then would have built a castle in the air, where his work would not be lost. All we as a nation would need to do later is to make the foundation stronger.

OPEN LETTER TO General Pervaiz Ashfaque Kayani

Letter to Pakistan Chief of Army Staff
General Pervaiz Ashfaque Kayani,
Abdul Basit Khawaja
Campaign to Restore Democracy to Pakistan

General Kiyani Sahib,
Every citizen of Pakistan who wants to chose the path majorly of Jinnah’s Ideologies would applaud your February 13th decision to recall all military officers from Pakistan’s civil departments. Pakistan’s bourgeoning civil society will be strengthened through this brave reversal of your predecessor’s heavy-handed and dictatorial imposition of the military in civilian affairs. Our men in uniform were pledged to defend Pakistan’s citizens and its Constitution. Instead, President Pervaiz Musharraf’s domestic policy had forced them to make the unnatural choice between doing their job and defending their country or deferring to their chief’s decision to hold civil society and the Constitution hostage at the barrel of a gun.

Musharraf has brought loss to our country and nothing else. The proclamations by his aides regarding economic prosperity, peace, low poverty levels and on war on terror illustrates a false image in the minds of the people.According to a corruption watchdog survey I saw on a website, Pakistani public opinion perceived the first and second terms of Musharraf's administration as respectively more corrupt than the first and second terms of previous administrations led by Bhutto and Sharif, respectively. Musharaf’s government has cost taxpayer’s money hundreds of millions of rupees in order to hire a team of aristocratic lawyers to represent him in the courts. For instance, regarding the privatization of Pakistan Steel, whose worth is around Rupees 600 billion was being sold out for a mere Rupees 20.6 billions, the government had spent Rupees 90 million , with Sharifudin Pirzada-a prominent lawyer- alone hoarding 6.6 million rupees as fees. Another example from several more, Musharraf appointed Shaukat Aziz as finance minister during his tenure as the Chief Executive. World powers supported Pakistan financially rescheduling debt to reward Pakistan due to the support it gave in the war on terror which helped in saving hundreds millions of dollars, in addition Musharaf was able to secure new loans. Result - foreign exchange reserves increased exceeding $16 billion in 2006, but at the same time foreign debt hit an all time high topping $40 billion. The portrayals from his side are so bogus so that he can create an illusion to put his trial and accountability on the back burner. To lead one needs to be honest i.e. not to break their undertakings. Late 2003, Musharraf made a deal with the religious party MMA agreeing to resign from the army by 31 Dec 2004. With that party's support, pro-Musharraf members were able to gather the two-thirds majority required to pass the controversial17th Amendment, which legalized Musharraf's 1999 coup and many of his decrees. In late 2004, Musharraf went back on his promise and Musharraf’s legislators in the Parliament passed a bill allowing him to keep both offices.According to the following articles from the constitution mentioned here, Musharaf should be charged for treason and fire-starting corruption to the country.According to Article 6 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan:-
"Any person or persons who commit the act of mutiny against the parliament, judiciary and/or the elected members and officials of parliament is/are guilty of committing the highest treason. This person or persons committing such an act must be charged and prosecuted in the court of law and sentenced to death if found guilty”

Article 243.1 of the constitution of Pakistan states that 'The Federal Government shall have control and command of the Armed Forces' and when a person is commissioned as a member of the Armed Forces, takes the following oath
"I ------, do solemnly swear that I will bear true faith and allegiance to Pakistan and uphold the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan which embodies the will of the people, that I will not engage myself in any political activities whatsoever and that I will honestly and faithfully serve Pakistan Army (or Navy or Air Force) as required by and under the law”

Such a person should not be supported by your institution as he is a de-stabliser to our solidity. Additionally, he should face the court for his actions because it will create an example for Generals, Ministers power and stake holders not to indulge in corruption. If the voting was in the favor of the ‘Kings Party’, Pakistan would have been thrown back into the times of ‘Pharaoh’ where the people of Musa (A.S) were harshly treated as slaves. A quote of Lao Tzu strikes a chord in my mind, “Governing a great nation is like cooking a small fish - too much handling will spoil it,” this quote shows the true picture into the minds of the people of Pakistan of what Musharaf is doing to the country.
We hope that you will perform your duties assigned in the constitution and not indulge in the political arena of this country like your forerunner and your 'ancestors in the military' .

However, the work to restore democratic political participation in Pakistan has only begun. A majority of Pakistan's judiciary was dismissed on November 3rd when President Musharraf imposed martial law in the guise of "emergency." On November 13th, Pakistan's Supreme Court was due to hear the cases of 485 victims of enforced disappearance over the past six years. Many of these had returned with horror stories from detainment centers around the world, including the one in Guantanamo Bay.

Cases of enforced disappearance are not unique to Pakistan. This problem has been created through a global regime of inter-state paranoia, government’s defiance of key principles of the Rule of Law, cash-payments made to mercenary kidnappers, intelligence forces that are held accountable to neither the judiciary nor the executive, and covert foreign operations that flout state-sovereignty and government’s accountability to its own people. The agents abduct people in broad day light and scuttle them across the globe to hold them without charge in unspeakable places: Guantanamo, Bagram, Kandahar, Adiala, Attock, Mianwali, Military confinements that’s the most my mind could gather, must be a dozen more.

Consequently, the campaign to restore missing persons to their families is a global effort. Thanks to the courage of members of the international media in continuing day-by-day coverage the social and political upheavals in Pakistan, the partners and supporters, who are Pakistanis, are demonstrably poised to seize this historic opportunity to help the vibrant, multi-ethnic fabric of Pakistani civil society secure for itself the hues of democratic participation, pluralism, and peace for all its citizens.

We, the people of Pakistan, demand the release of all those who have been abducted and detained without charge by the military and the intelligence agencies under your command. The families of victims of enforced disappearances are demanding that the COAS’s office issue a list of the names and charges of all Pakistanis held under extrajudicial detainment on account of actions taken by the army and intelligence forces under his command.
Hopefully, we the people of Pakistan are worried about the above

Respectfully,

The People of Pakistan

Why can’t we begin afresh putting in judges who have never taken oath under the PCO?

The answer to the question can be easily found in Aitzaz Ahsan's speeches and interviews .If the deposed judges are not brought back to office, no future judiciary will be able to carry on with their duties i.e to pass just decisions, either against or for government, because the harsh treatment given to Chaudary Ifthikar and his team will come back to haunt them when they would be on the verge of making critical decisions. Additionally, people have voted back Nawaz and Zardari who had sometime back had lost popularity due to corruption. Thus, these judges should be given a chance because ,firstly they are not accused of corruption and titlting towards powerful personalites while making decisions, secondly and most importantly, they have proved in their tenure that they are not ready to bow down to the pressures of a monarch.

The Danes , The West and the myth about their 'FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION'

Danish newspapers have once again tarnished the name of Islam and made mockery of our beloved Prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H) on the name of freedom of expression. But the situation has backfired for them as Muslims have become more united on the stance against Denmark. USA attacked Iraq and Afghanistan because it threatened their economy and stability -this is what the world perceives, actually, Bush wanted to boost his economy because USA earns when they do what they are best in i.e. war.

Moreover, USA and the West is afraid that Iran 'MIGHT' put them into danger if it acquires nuclear arsenal and thus have put sanctions against it. Thus, OIC should pass a resoulution that no Muslim country will conduct business activities with the Danish untill and unless they change their approach towards the 'limits of freedom of expression' they permit their newspapers.

Intrestingly, in Denmark, there has been mass protests where alot of valuable property has been lost and additionally the Danish companies have suffered financially in the Muslim countries. But the Danish side keeps on defending themselves by repeating their stance again and again that its their right to freedom of expression. All this stuborness from the Danes is bringing them loss and chaos. It will be difficult for Danes, a secular and mostly Christian state, to pass a law which states not to speak against any religon. Thus, the Danish should pass a law on Freedom of expression which states, 'One cannot use freedom of expression to derail Denmark from the track of progress and economic growth'. This alone would be able to control further confrontations and dissuade people from passing stupid comments which are fatal in nature.

Musharaf - The FIRST SUICIDE BOMBER OF PAKISTAN

The recent Lahore bomb blasts verify that this has been done by a group who has an advantage from it. From the impression given, there are only two parties who can gain from this sadistic situation. Either it is the extremists who want to establish their point that the operation in the Northern Areas is unfair or it is Musharaf. The reason I doubt that Musharaf has a hand at the rear of this is that he wants to prove his overseas allies, especially Mr. Bush, that he is the only knight in shining armor in Pakistan who can stop such shows of aggression. To authenticate this point in front of his boss, he can say that since the election results the frequency of bombs going off has become more i.e if he sticks to the throne there wont be any suicide bombing. Moreover he can use this explanation later on, when the new parliament tries to impeach him, he will use the power given to him by 58-2(B) to dismiss the parliament on the basis that they were trying to kick him out rather than doing anything against the suicide bombers. He's ‘singing his notes’ very correctly but the only dilemma which has crop up for him is that people have started to comprehend his plans very well. As one of his former military colleague said once, “I will not be surprised if this clever ruler is behind all the suicide attacks," the nation understands this too.

THE REAL TRUTH BEHIND THE VOTE COUNTS AND GWADAR PROJECT!

It is upsetting to see in newspapers and on tv about the false way of illuminating the election vote count by the Pro-Musharaf forces. The spin doctors, such as Pervez Elahi and Mushaid Hussain are trying to prove that the country is divided on the Musharaf issue and that he is still popular fruitlessly . The truth is just the reverse.
The result of the total valid votes from Election Commission has vigorously announced that the people have rejected the policies of the dictator. The votes accumalated by PPP, PML-N, ANP, MMA(F) are around 17487305 votes where as Pro Musharaf parties have collected 10581822 which includes pre-poll rigging and the rigging on the day of elections. The victory of margin for MQM in Karachi proves that the turnout was more than 60 % in Karachi which is unattainable as TV stations were reporting that the turnout is low in polling stations while my friends here told me that their vote had already been casted in Hyderabad for the favour of MQM while they were at work thousand miles far in UAE !
Late Benazir’s PPP is first, PML Q is second while Nawaz Sharif’s PML(N) is at third with 6 million on the basis of total votes while on seat basis PPP is first, PML-N is second and PML-Q is a distant third.A point to be noted is that PML-N only had a day to file nominations for their candidates because they decided on the eleventh hour to contest the elections as Nawaz Sharif arrived late from exile. If they had more time, they would have got the 2/3 majority because most of the PML-Q members would have ran back to the parent party-PML-N. It is obvious many would have changed their loyalties from PML-Q to PML-N because presently it can be seen after the elections that many forward blocs from PML-Q faction are coming forward to help PML-N in the parliament. PPP gained because of the word ‘Bhutto’ associated with them, PML-Q would not have got more than 4 seats if there was no pre poll rigging and the MQM would not have got a single seat if they did not use the ‘art of intimidating voters’.Lately, when Mushahid Hussain Syed and Chaudary Shujaat visited Karachi to meet previous allies, Jatoi’s NPP and Altaf’s MQM, they had to come back with gloomy faces as none of the parties showed their interest in supporting the PML-Q. Its actually the other way round as both Jatoi and Altaf have showed their wholeheartedness to be a part of the government thus the vote accumalated by the Pro Musharaf allies decreases to around 7 million and the vote for Anti Musharaf touches the milestone figure of 20 million.Additionaly, there are question marks over the actuality if PML-Q would be competent to formulate the governement in Balochistan or not because of the alignment of the present winning contestants used to be with PML-N before the 1999 coup. The only reason they did not support PML – N in the previous elections because Nawaz Sharif was not present in the country and now they are waiting to make their next move after the decisions in the federal are finalised. Significantly, famous nationalist parties who have a permanent vote bank due to the tribal system boycotted the elections and the turnout in Baluchistan is reported to be less than 20 %.
The popularity of the Nawaz Sharif in Balochistan is due to the fact that people recognise the fact that General Musharraf’s claims to have initiated the Gawadar Port Project is contrary to the fact that it was actually a brainchild of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and he had taken practical steps to begin the project. In July 1997 the PML (N) government endorsed the project. The Planning Commission approved PC-I of the project in July 17, 1998 and the National Committee of the National Economic Council approved the project on May 14, 1999. This project was also included in the budget of 1999-2000 where a huge grant was allocated for the project. In consequence of these developments, the Harbour Engineering Corporation of China signed an MoU with the Government of Pakistan on September 16, 1999 for the first phase of the project.
With the judiciary issue and Anti Musharaf slogans, Benazir and Nawaz Sharif have benefited by default. So, do you all know who is the real winner then?
The People Of Pakistan.

CHANGE

The people of Pakistan have voted in this elections to condemn the policies of Musharaf and band. Sixty percent of the inhabitants have chosen the Anti-Musharaf forces to get rid of sucide bombers, empty stomachs and victimisation from their lives.
Firstly, the war on terror is not our battle and Pakistanis have realised it. Through the documentary ‘Farenheit 9/11’ and other conspiracy theories, people are now conscious that the war on terror is sham as the foundation of the war is made of lies. Some uneducated muslim people on either side of the border are encircled by the bureaucracy of the ‘New World Order’ so that they can attain their vice domino effect. Secondly, the people want an autonomous judiciary so that they can get the evenhandedness which they are unable to get for the past six decades. The example of Benazir’s Assasination is one of the zillon examples where justice could not triumph. Thirdly, the previous government accepted that Shaukat Aziz was guilty for the current energy, flour and inflation crises, thus, people did not have any other choice than to vote for the opposition who are the ‘cock-eyed’ in the world of our politics where everyone is ‘blind’.
People have nominated ‘change’ and it’s the duty of the leaders who have got the term of office to execute it. People are having high expectations and if this time they are not concluded, it will lead to a the first revolution in the history of Pakistan against the anarchism.

Law and Order Problems - The Solution

Law and order is going from bad to worse. Man made laws and law administrators around the world have failed to curb crime. The instance of sexual harrassments, robberies and organised crime has reached its pinnacle. To stop this virus to infect our coming generations we have to create an antidode for it. As we are luckily the superior most being in this world, we are gifted by God to tackle such situations. All we need to do is to sit alone and think with a clear mind where we are wrong and what can be done to make it better. In the wilderness of my mind I ponder and conclude that there is infinite flaws in the rules made by men. The main reason for the installation of law in our system is to help the just and punish the unjust. When we open the book of law made by men, one can easily escape punishments because of the loopholes it provides. Experienced lawyers know how to twist it, some escape with mild punishments for horrendous crimes and some people make new ones to cling to power. If Law is altered unfairly which we are doing daily, problems will arise, sometimes immediately and sometimes with time. Following Law is as neutral like a hammer, it can build you or destroy you. The key is to apply the right one because either it will make you or crush you.The solution for this law and order panic is to follow the law God has given us through his book. Its sheer stupidity that we make laws and then we pass judgements according to it which matches the interest of and helps only few. God through the message of prophets has given us a gift in the form of a book so that we can use it wisely like Prophet Sulayman(Solomon) used to do in his times. The book contains information about the type of governance we should have, laws related to business and personal lives and the punishments for not obeying them. In this world, we make robots and we make rules for them to follow, true and fair, in the same way God has created us and we are supposed to follow his laws rather than ours. That's why we dont have peace in our land and in our hearts. For once elevate yourself to the space, look down on the earth and you would know that the solution is to follow the word of God or otherwise face His Wrath which we are actually going through.

The World Is Short of Gentlemen

A gentleman is one who puts more into the world than he takes out of it. A gentleman is one who is simple, selfless and sticks to his ethics. Unfortunately, majority of the people in the 21st century are not aware of the simple term known as 'ethics'. This 'under-understanding' of this term is the root of all problems. When the majority follow ethics in their field of work, it will eradicate financial frauds, political crisis and social disturbance.

Firstly, if you shift your focus to the business field, be it a local retail shop or a big financial institution the malpractice of not following ethics is found. In simple terms, hiring a taxi is becoming a nightmare these days because drivers are not keen to take passengers to destinations which are less profitable, whle in bigger companies lack of ethics is usually well-hidden but people are well aware of the Enron case. Secondly, the world is going through a political turmoil because of unethical measures taken from their corrupt leaders. Be it countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia or even America, the countries are suffering due to the shortage of gentlemen in the field of politics. The best examples are our very own Mr. Bush, Tony Blair, Pervez Musharaf, Gloria Arroyo, Kim, Mr Johnson the ex prime minister for Australia and Ehud Olmert are the main cause of disharmony because they have chosen a path which disturbs the tranquility of the world. Thirdly, in our century, sadly, the divorce rate and other family affairs alongwith crime rate has reached at its pinnacle. Everyday when one opens up a newspaper, you see the 'Mcartney-Mills' divorce case along with hundreds more, rape or even gang rapes, child-molesting, thefts, murders and whatever an evil mind can imagine.

People have to put a stop on the race for the 'extra buck' in food, shelter and clothing and if one does it means he doubts that God's treasures are empty i.e. you will get what is written for you and if one snatches the share of other due to his/her misery might be a winner for a while but would turn out to be the biggest loser in the future. We are so focused in what we have left behind that we dont see what lies ahead. To get that 'extra buck' and gain status we would take all those measures which are enemy to the soul of ethics. In order to return to a normal life, we have to follow our books which tell us to stick with ethics so that this world becomes peaceful or have visionary leaders like the UAE ones who have led the country from a lonely desert to a successful country only because they care for humanity and belief in use of ethics in their respective work-fields.

War On Terror

The 'war on terror' in Afghanistan is an unending war as its pinnacle where no one is able to surrender. Americans have brought so much carnage that they cannot leave the battlefield untill and unless stability starts to reside in Afghanistan again. Afghanis consists of Taleban supporters and Karzai supporters which includes the Northern Alliance, for them its has become a matter of pride to leave v. The Taleban wants to govern again and the Karzai clan wants to cling to power. Due to lack of education and some vested intrests, the ever-fighting parties of Afghanistan think that the only way to capture power is by the force of weapon, they dont know that there is a system of governance in the world which is widely known as democracy.
Moreover, If you shift to the situation in Pakistan, Afghanistan's neighbour and USA's main ally in the war on terror, your mind would get puzzled to guess what is the role of Pakistan in war on terror. After the September Attacks, the government was forced to ally with USA in order to save its skin and avoid going through thick and thin. Pakistan entered into the war field against the Taliban which they supported for two decades. As Pakistan is a muslim country, people are die hard supporters against the torture metted to muslims. It can be easily calculated that there is not a single soul in Pakistan which approves the war on terror. Due to this clash in government and the people, we see people daily dying on the roads and northern areas, either getting targeted by sucide bombers or dying due to military action.
The biggest challenge for the new governement is to take Pakistan out of this atate of confusion. Priority should be this rather than getting rid of controversial amendments and the only way to do it is to make the judiciary independant because war is too serious a thing to be left on generals.

They are Chaudarys too but aint like the 'CHAUDARY BROTHERS'

Scientists have failed to invent a bar which can calculate the courage of Chaudary Ifthikar and Chaudary Aitzaz Ahsan. The lawyers movement has become a headache for the oppressors as it going from strength to strength. This movement for justice will not die and as a matter of fact it has gained more momentum because the people of Pakistan and the lawyers have become more motivated after the elections which proved that monarchy is not the way to rule this nation.
'I will fight till my last breath' attitude of Aitzaz Ahsan is usually found in military-men but this civilian has become an envy for all because its difficult to imitate him and his bravery, even for the army. It is a fact, that it is more respectable to be a MNA of a constituency than the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association. But, for the revival of an 'independant judiciary' this knight sacrificed his seat which he would have definately won. If he would have taken part in the elections, it would mean that he accepts that Pervaiz Musharaf is the President which would have affected the lawyers movement negatively. If for Musharaf the military uniform is second skin, then the black coats of the lawyers are second skin for them , they have vowed to perform their duty to purify the courts as Musharaf has vowed not to leave the throne.
While on the other hand, Chaudary Ifthikar is engraving a new chapter in the history of judiciary by not calling quits. He has been house arrested for more than three months with his family which consists of three children who go to school and one of the trio is a special child. Moreover, they are not allowed to go as far to the lawn which is in their house and are monitored round the clock. Just imagine what goes through the mind of this man when he sees his children missing school, fun and most importantly 'freedom', any normal person would have bent down by now with his heart shattered into pieces which would have been impossible to re-join. But, he knows this sacrifice will reap benefits for the nation in the future and is ready for more toture.
The fight for an independant judiciary is coming to its climax where victory has become a reality, the benefits it will bring would be basket full. Firstly, the trust in judiciary will touch unprecedented heights because more and more people would turn towards the courts for justice. Secondly, it will make justice affordable for all as the two 'too good Chaudary's' have plans to tackle the issue. Thirdly and most importantly, this judiciary will help to curb terrorism as it will be the middle ground to decide between miltary extremism and religous extremism.
The only similarity between Ifthikar Ahmad, Aitzaz Ahsan, Pervaiz Elahi and Shujaat Hussain is the surname Chaudary, and the rest is as different as a tiger and a mouse. Lawyers like Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Iqbal and Liaqat Ali Khan crafted the independence of our nation and after six decades Chaudary Ifthikar and Chaudary Aitzaz are all set to make the judiciary independant and transmit the message to the people what independence means. They are 'Different Chaudarys' indeed.

NEVER PANIC

When a person tries hard to acheive a target , there comes a point in the struggle where it seems that all doors have got closed. They are so many people who later regret because as they quit, another door gets opened, but then its too late. When one comes too far in a struggle to reach their destination, there is no point in quiting because the person will be a loser then. To avoid such a feeling, one should never call quits, because no one except God knows when your fate is going to change.
Hardships and problems arrive in everyone's life regardless the fact if the person is good or bad. For some it comes earlier in life and for some in the later stages. Life in this world is a journey where we are tested always, one should not lose hope and faith during 'not-so-good' times because God is just testing us. Some people are under the scanner of such 'tests' so that they turn out to be better personalities with the help of experience they get during the time of turmoil. While, some people are put to a test as a punishment from God, so that they seek for forgiveness and vow never to repeat their mistakes.
People in the rural areas of NWFP and most of the area in Baluchistan are in a terrible state. The people living there have lack of education, poor health care systems, no drinking water, less job oppurtunities and have a poor transport system. The state of drinking water is so bad in Baluchistan, a stranger might not know that what he's going to drink is a lemonade or a drinking water ! As nothing substantial is done for them from the previous governements and leaders, there are many people who go astray on the name of religon. To escape from their daily struggle for food, clothing and shelter, these people are brainwashed by extremists so that they can be used for Jihad or for the purpose of breaking the country.
As these people are accustomed to hardships in life and lack of education, they are easily brainwashed and are used for negative purposes. Jihad is misintrepeted by the Western governements and media. Jihad is a duty of every muslim, hold on and dont panic, I will explain you the different branches of Jihad. Jihad is categorised in two forms - The Greater Jihad and the Lesser Jihad. The Greater Jihad is the fight against the evils inside your soul such as bad habits(smoking, drinking, not offering Salah, causing harm to other people, crimes,etc.). While, the Lesser Jihad is the fight against the people who 'declare' a war against 'Islam' i.e. only if the enemy strikes you in the name of 'religon', then one is supposed to defend. Significantly, if one is unable to do the Greater Jihad, he is not allowed to go for the Lesser Jihad in other words the person needs to look at himself in the mirror first. Religon is used in a negative way by the extremists so that they can gather support for their vested intrests which should not be the case.
But, the main factor for the people to go astray is that they are given financial support for the 'services' they provide. One wonders that from where such 'brain-washing organisations' get their funds, Has it got anything to do with the New World Order idealogy? However, by joining hands with extremists, be it religous ones or the ones who are indulged in 'activities' in the name of modernisation, is the most stupid way to escape from the hardships in life. One should not lose faith as another door will open when all seem to be closed, because God is making your patience stronger and you a better person in return for your continous struggle to make things better. God will give you the food but you have to make the morsel and eat it yourselves. In the same way, the new government should give oppurtunities with help of the resources they have in abundance for the people living there. In this way, ideas of disintegration will be burned down. But, the ball is in the court of people, who have to change themselves with positivity and choose the path of struggle in order to make life happier for themselves and the ones living around.
