Action speaks LOUDER than words..

After the success of Long March, the serving leaders in myriad of ministries would have apprehended that the seats they yearn for before the elections are really blistering instead of being comfortable. That goes for our government officials and the honorable Chief Justice also. Everyone has innumerable tasks to deal with, and the paramount part is that the general public is keeping an ogle on their activities consistently, thanks to media.

Presently, the government has to liaise with the SWAT situation and socio/economic crises, the opposition needs to give invaluable advice and exercise their power to help the public. Moreover, the judiciary has an important task: to provide justice to those who have been treated unjustly due to illegal and unconstitutional measures. Additionally, all of them are answerable to the public now, very contrasting to the situation a couple of months back. A revolution of fair accountability has arrived and the leaders have succumbed by genuflecting. For example, the judiciary crisis recently solved saw the President, Prime Minister and the ruling party, accepting the reinstating of Chaudary Ifthikar and his colleagues by surrendering, even though unwillingly.

Hence, the people are looking at their leaders, political and that in judiciary, because they 'think' that they are the catalyst to provide and maintain peace. Yes, people have started to 'think' and that makes the government nervous and should make the judiciary too. There is no place for injustice to make its home in Pakistan, and if it does then a finale Long March is on the cards to get rid of indolent political leaders and judges.

Respect Time...and time will respect you!

People who don’t care about time, time do not care about them. Sadly, it is going to be two years, since Chaudary Ifthikar was criminally removed from his administrative center. Surprisingly, he fought against the odds with the help of Chaudary Aitzaz Ahsan and got re-instated. But, another illegal move from the oppressor of people's determination detached him from the helm of affairs.

Fast-forward from November 2 2007, the incumbent leaders of today won the elections by chanting the slogan – "Chaudary Ifthikar is our chief justice!" - Today they have forgotten their pledge and brought ignominy to the dead soul of the Late Benazir Bhutto who also supported him. Interestingly, his foes, friends before, have raison d'être for not reinstating him. Some say, he is too biased to be a judge while some have gone so low integrity-wise that they pronounce – "We cannot remove Dogar because he is also a Chief Justice now". The point is that if the actions of November 2 were illegitimate than any selection according to it is also illegitimate. This can be identified by a child in a crèche then why cannot our leaders comprehend this?

According to my knowledge about the Pakistani headship, I can easily say that our political forces exchange blows for those causes in which they have personal gains and vice versa. From Zardari to Nawaz Sharif or Qazi Hussain Ahmad to Imran Khan, all are skirmishing for their personal/political gains. But in our system which is so shady and deceitful, it's better to support those who favor the desires of a larger community, even if they are doing it for their own promotion.

Leaders in office who think Chaudary Ifthikar is a political figure need to get their heads examined because, fortunately for him, he has not passed a political testimonial and has remained tight lipped about the political affairs. If a political party/parties support him that does not entail that he has become a political figure. As a matter of fact, political parties get their support from the masses and they are the best representation of the general public. So, if a segment of people does support him, then what’s wrong in it?

Importantly, it should be remembered that Chaudary Ifthikar is not as white as milk or an angel, many or most of the populace know about it. He rose to command during Musharraf's regime, took oath on PCO and did not address against him for a stretched era. Was it the Steel Mill's case or an individual squabble, I don’t know. But, most of the people support him because he has been the first government official who did not bow his head according to the wishes of a martial despot. It was because of the lawyer's movement that Musharraf had to completely resign and Zardari should be extremely thankful for it. Moreover, no one deserves to be kicked out of work like this, be it Chaudary Ifthikar or a clerk. In fact, after his re-instating, expectations of the general public would be high from him i.e. if he supports the unruly then surely you will see another movement, and this time against him. But today, his supporters are still singing the mantra to get him reinstated though at the moment it's falling on deaf ears.

It is going to be two years soon, and nothing fruitful has shaped up till now. Forlornly, Musharraf is enjoying a content lifestyle, giving lectures at Stanford, where instead he should have been in jail at this instant with the present president. This is the quirk of fate of Pakistan – "Chor gaye aur luteray agaye!" – Thieves are gone and dacoits have come to loot 'n' rule.

I deduce and desire that Zardari completes his term or stays a little longer because the public of this country will only then find out how to vote when they are pushed to the edge of the knoll. Respect time and time will respect you; take judgments prompt, because justice delayed is justice denied, otherwise all and sundry might go down the hill, and it will surely hurt if it doesn’t slay.

Leadership in Crisis

There are fissures in the foundations of Pakistan which is due to the severe scarcity of superior leaders in our political and nonspecific arena. Since the departure of Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Liaqut Ali Khan, the situation has gone haywire in our realm. From Ayub to Zardari, the status quo of this dearth is escalating extraordinarily. This deficiency has raised the level of fretfulness in the general public to unknown heights which is so severe for the social order that from a tea stall to gelato affair or from a ghetto to a bastion, there is just one question on everyone's mind i.e." when will good leaders arrive?"

Such a situation is so wrong because nations that wait for heroes to save them are the unluckiest – only struggle creates heroes not luck because luck is always with those who don’t include it in their plans, read history if you don’t believe it. Once on this topic, one wise man shared his wisdom on this dilemma with me once. He explained that lack of education is the raison d'être behind the lack of leadership. Therefore, he had a simple modus operandi for its solution i.e. to provide quality education to children, especially to females, so that when these little girls turn into mothers, they give birth to revolutionaries. For a moment, I wanted to jump on the couch to celebrate the elucidation he provided. But then, I came back to veracity and thought that this will take decades.

It disturbed me for a little while. However, the astute chap saw the depressed look on my face and suggested "Brother, carry on your struggle for it because that’s the only thing you have control over and leave the results to The One who controls the cosmos". STOP. These words should be enough for anyone to realize that nothing is impossible if one struggles for it with honesty, integrity and commitment. For instance, look at Iqbal and Jinnah. Interestingly and gladly, his formula to success and peace is simple and achievable; one just has to believe in it.

All we have to do is to do our bit to make the society a better place to live in and through this by default we will achieve the beloved domino effect. Sadly, I see most of the populace waste their times in activities which are unproductive with zero output, in fact, it sucks up the resources. Hence, this is the time to act and start the restoration phase and let's stamp out the word "inefficient" before the word "leadership" because crisis creates motivation and we have a bag full of crises at the moment.

Zardari - Dont commit to another Mistake

Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has issued a long charge-sheet against the deposed superior court judges, saying they never came to his rescue and were responsible for his eight years in jail. We heard about political victimization but Zardari is giving birth to judicial victimization. Zardari wants to victimize the judiciary because they did not favor him is unjustified. It’s correct that the deposed judges did not release or pardon for him because they, the government and the people of Pakistan are very well aware of Zardari’s corruption during Benazir’s tenure. Some sources claim that Zardari doesn’t want these judges to come back because they nullified the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO),the same order which has given him indemnity and has freed him from all his pending cases. But he fears that if these judges came back they would nullify the NRO once again and he might then have to face the courts again.

The Nation is disappointed to hear ‘the charge-sheet’ issued by the PPP co-chairperson against the deposed judges. During the Central Executive Committee(CEC) meeting almost 60 per cent of the co-chairman's speech was on Aitzaz Ahsan and the judges. Zardari is criticizing the deposed judges for not giving him parole when he required it to attend the funeral of his nephew few years back. This is wickedness of the first order from his side. The people voted against the Musharaf forces and for restoration of the judges, it’s now the duty of Zaradari and Nawaz Sharif to fulfill the promises. Moreover, Zardari does not have the right to play with the mandate people have given to reformist forces.

It’s important to note that his late wife never included him in CEC of the party, reasons are plentiful. Firstly, she knew that he’s regularly involved in kickbacks. Secondly, if Benazir was alive she would have not joined hands with MQM because they collapsed her first government, caused the May 12th incident in Karachi when several people lost lives because of the ‘wild-fire’ from MQM workers, were behind the Oct 18 blast, killed party loyalists Murad Baloch and Munawar Suhrawardy. Horrifically, Zardari went to the Nine Zero – the headquarters of MQM- to express solidarity with the MQM against the wishes of the nation. In the name of re-conciliation and unity government, he has brought humiliation to the people of Sindh who voted for Bhutto, Idealogies of PPP and against Musharaf’s atrocities and not for his personal agenda.

People like Zardari and Chaudary Shujaat Hussain should learn from the past because Pakistan People’s Party, Bhutto Family, Pakistan Muslim League has lost lives and dear ones due to a weak judiciary. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s death was a judicial murder because once cannot be sentenced to death for conspiracy. Additionally, Shujaat Hussain’s father was shot viciously because he did not approve the policies of the Late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Although Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto got hanged, they did not get true justice and protection because of weak judiciary, puny police and off the limits strong Army. Its advisable for Zaradari not to dance on the tunes of Musharaf and support the restoration of the judges because he would then would have built a castle in the air, where his work would not be lost. All we as a nation would need to do later is to make the foundation stronger.

Musharaf - A Termite to our country.

Musharraf has brought loss to our country and nothing else. The proclamations by his aides regarding economic prosperity, peace, low poverty levels and on war on terror illustrates a false image in the minds of the people.

According to a corruption watchdog survey I saw on a website, Pakistani public opinion perceived the first and second terms of Musharraf's administration as respectively more corrupt than the first and second terms of previous administrations led by Bhutto and Sharif, respectively. Pakistani media too have alleged time to time that corruption of the previous governments was replaced by institutionalized corruption of the Pakistan Army, awarding land deeds, such as defense colonies in major cities, and a life of luxury to its ‘loyal’ officers. Musharaf’s government has cost taxpayer’s money hundreds of millions of rupees in order to hire a team of aristocratic lawyers to represent him in the courts. For instance, regarding the privatization of Pakistan Steel, whose worth is around Rupees 600 billion was being sold out for a mere Rupees 20.6 billions, the government had spent Rupees 90 million , with Sharifudin Pirzada-a prominent lawyer- alone hoarding 6.6 million rupees as fees. Another example from several more, Musharraf appointed Saukat Aziz as finance minister during his tenure as the Chief Executive. World powers supported Pakistan financially rescheduling debt to reward Pakistan due to the support it gave in the war on terror which helped in saving hundreds millions of dollars, in addition Musharaf was able to secure new loans. Result - foreign exchange reserves increased exceeding $16 billion in 2006, but at the same time foreign debt hit an all time high topping $40 billion.

The portrayals from his side are bogus so that he can create an illusion to put his trial and accountability on the back burner. To lead one needs to be honest i.e. not to break their undertakings. Late 2003, Musharraf made a deal with the religious party MMA agreeing to resign from the army by 31 Dec 2004. With that party's support, pro-Musharraf members were able to gather the two-thirds majority required to pass the controversial17th Amendment, which legalized Musharraf's 1999 coup and many of his decrees. In late 2004, Musharraf went back on his promise and Musharraf’s legislators in the Parliament passed a bill allowing him to keep both offices.

According to the following articles from the constitution mentioned here, Musharaf should be charged for treason and fire-starting corruption to the country.
According to Article 6 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan:-
"Any person or persons who commit the act of mutiny against the parliament, judiciary and/or the elected members and officials of parliament is/are guilty of committing the highest treason. This person or persons committing such an act must be charged and prosecuted in the court of law and sentenced to death if found guilty"
Article 243.1 of the constitution of Pakistan states that 'The Federal Government shall have control and command of the Armed Forces' and when a person is commissioned as a member of the Armed Forces, takes the following oath
"I ------, do solemnly swear that I will bear true faith and allegiance to Pakistan and uphold the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan which embodies the will of the people, that I will not engage myself in any political activities whatsoever and that I will honestly and faithfully serve Pakistan Army (or Navy or Air Force) as required by and under the law."
Such a hypocrite and corrupt person should not be supported. By voting in favour of the ‘Kings Party’, Pakistan will be thrown back into the times of ‘Pharoh’ where the people of Musa (A.S) were harshly treated as slaves. A quote of Lao Tzu strikes a chord in my mind, “Governing a great nation is like cooking a small fish - too much handling will spoil it,” this quote shows the true picture into the minds of the people of Pakistan of what Musharaf is doing to the country.

PPP and PML joining Hands...Good, Bad and the Ugly...

To my surprise, I read in the newspaper today that Nawaz Sharif is ready to join hands with PPP to make the next government. Its a noble thought but there are alot of factors which I hope Mr Sharif has in his mind before making a coalition with his one time foes.

Firstly, PPP has stated clearly that they will not support an impeachment against Musharaf. This indicates that there is some sort of a deal between the PPP and Musharaf.

Secondly, PPP and PML-N has been involved in political victimisation for decades and there is no guarantee they wont indulge in this game again. There is a clash of idealogies between the two parties and it seems an uphill task they would be successful togather.

Thirdly, every vote Nawaz Sharif gets is because people are voting against Musharaf's policy, Musharaf-PPP deal and to show solidarity with the 'judiciary crisis' i.e they support the re-appointment of the deposed judges and Sharif should take actions according to the public.

He made all his party members take oath that they will 're-install' the judiciary and vowed that they will not create a working relationship with Musharaf. By joining hands with PPP, he would break this promise as Late Benazir Bhutto's party will 'any-how' shake hands with Musharaf for the sake of power through the 'sympathy vote' they would get. It would be highly recomended that Nawaz Sharif should practise what he preaches because that's the only way he will make space in hearts of people again as any wrong move from here would be a fatal loss for him. He should make his influence positive for the nation as it is in dire need of it.

Aitzaz Ahsan - A Man of Courage

This is in reference to the article by Aitzaz Ahsan(KT, Feb 12). His never-ending struggle and dare-devil attitude deserves a huge applause. He has been the frontrunner alongwith Chaudary Ifthikar in the fight for the freedom of independent judiciary.
As he points out in his article, Chaudary Ifthikar and the other deposed judges were deemed as loyalists of the military regime because they agreed to take oath at the time when prominent judges refused to take oath on an 'unconstitutional' Constitution. Like Obama, he wanted 'change', he vowed to purify the courts which used to tilt towards powerful personalitites and government while making judgments previously.
He was harrased by Musharaf and other generals and was told to resign but he refused to bow down to people who are now more unpopular than Al Qaeda, as Aitzaz Ahsan points out. He was oust by Musharaf but came back hard with the help of Aitzaz Ahsan by winning his case. He re-wrote history by taking tough stance against government malpractices. 'Lal Masjid' Massacare, Nawaz Sharif's case , the missing people's case and the privatisation of Pakistan Steel was halted by him because it was being sold for peanuts.
Musharaf knew that this 'Napolean' with the help of loyalists can iniate a 'French Revloution' to overthrow his Raj. So, he kicked them out of the courts and house arrested them. But, what Musharaf does not know is that by putting 'courage' behind bars, he is not suppressing it, he is adding more fuel to it. Salute to you Mr. Ahsan, we need 'gladiators' like you who refuse to work under corruption !

Chief Justice....

Chaudary Ifthikar's conquest for an independent judiciary should be appreciated. He reminds me of the 'Gladiator' movie where a loyalist turned into a rebellious warrior who refused to be led by corruption.
When Nawaz Sharif's Government was oust in a coup in 1999, an extra-constitutional ordinance was 'infrastructered' which paved the road for Pervaiz Musharaf to become the Cheif Executive and to escape punsihments for molesting the Constituion. Chaudary Ifthikar and the currently deposed judges were deemed as loyalists of the military regime and Musharaf had a friendly relationship with the CJ back then because they took oath when prominent judges like Wajhiudeen Ahmed - the lone contestor who stood against Musharaf in the recent Presidential Election - and many more refused to oath on an 'unconstitutional' Constitution. As he took control of his office, he vowed to purify the courts where justice used to tilt towards powerful personalitites and government previously.
'Team Musharaf' ordered him to resign because he tried to free the judiciary from the chains governments had tied around them. Musharaf- known for his 'kicking people out' talent - oust him of the courts with a mighty kick. Fate had other plans, CJ won his case and was 'reinstalled' in the judiciary system. The saying 'Dont drink champagne before you win' fits perfectly in here. He then started re-writing history by passing 'just' decisions against the government who was guilty of crimes against humanity. Such as the 'Lal Masjid' Massacare where several people including children lost their lives because of police's 'wild-fire', Nawaz Sharif's case , the missing people case and the privatisation of Pakistan Steel which - which Lakshmi Mittal the steel magnate reckons to be best in the world because of its location near the sea- was halted by the timely internvention of the CJ as it was being sold for peanuts.
Our 'King Louis' took notice that this 'Napolean and his French Revolution' can be a threat to his throne. So, to safeguarded his thrown he once again kicked 'Team Ifthikar' from the courts 'assisted' by his team-mate this time - 'Dracula of Provisional Constitutional Order'. In his recent letter to the public, the CJ stressed that elections are necessary but stressed that it cannot be 'free, fair & peaceful' as there is no independant judiciary. The lawyers and the deposed judges have pledged to support the CJ in his fight but only time will tell if this 'Gladiator' will walk alive and victorious from the battlefield.

'PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE'

'Patience is a virtue' which you hear when your are in class 2, but tolerance levels go down when you jump into the world. Hit the road, you find ''Beatles" performing 'live shows' on the road in order to reach their destination faster putting their and our lives in danger. When these people finally reach at a signal, they start playing their latest honking tunes as soon as the signal turns from red to green. Have Patience friends!
Switch on the TV, guess what you see? The usual Saas-Bahu fights or in other words Hillary and Obama ripping each others hair off, both trying to create history by being the first woman and first black president respectively, but arent both democrats? They should learn from their Republican counterparts, and hopefully put a stop to their 'mud-slinging' so that they could acheive a good result in the november elections. Have Patience buddies!
Switch off the TV, open up a newspaper, flipping to the sporting news hoping against hope to see something good, you end up reading about 'Harbhajan-Symonds saga' or would hear about the crazy African team coach who fights with players, officials and recently had a bout with police too !
Have Patience guys !
Our resources are draining out because of the vampires who are sucking our happiness out. To kill these 'vampires', we cant do a 'Rambo' or a 'Rocky' to slit their throats ,instead, have to go and 'buy' patience to get rid of them from our lives . Just like the zillion DSF offers, patience comes in a bonus package with happiness, with no strings attached such as 'limited offer' or 'untill stock lasts'. In the end, I recall a wise man telling me once, 'There are 'ghosts', 'ghost believers' and 'non-believers', to live in harmony one should respect each other's point of view and should not feel disgraced, thus have patience'.

GENERALISATION CREATES SENSATIONALISM

As the election fever is on in Pakistan, politicians have transformed into a swarm of bees as they are stinging each other with baseless accusations to make their way to the honey - the power throne. Facts and figures are a neccessity when one wants to prove a point. One should avoid generalisation while criticising each other because it doesnt transmit sense into public but just creates sensationalism. By calling Musharaf or his allies 'bad', is not the formula to win the upcoming elections
Nawaz Sharif and his old friend and now foe of the rival PML - Parvaiz Elahi(A Musharaf ally) - were involved in verbal spat few days back where Sharif called Elahi the 'wrath of Allah' and Elahi replied with an equally stupid remark which is not even worth mentioning. Such accusations leads to the never ending nonsense which is going on for the past six decades.
Just like any other Asian country, India and China , Pakistan is also constructing the bridge to reach success economically. But there are certain elements which are threatening to 'derail' Pakistan from its track. Musharaf and his allies are so involved in corruption and money-making that they left alot of matters unresolved. Dont run to the assumption that I am making a generalised comment but there are facts and figures to prove this. The Central Bank had to swallow a tough pill by adopting tight monetarty policy from Feb. 1 because the government breached its borrowing limits despite of timely warnings from the Central Bank. Moreover, a latest study from World Bank suggests that there will be Pakistan would be struck with a power shortage of 6000 megawatts soon if measures are not taken to avert it. It suggests the Pakistani Government to influx $ 1 billion annually on infrastructure related to electricity, irrigation and other essentials to avoid a catastrophe. Thus the regime can be 'accused' of pocketing borrowed money and financial aids.
In her recent article in KT, Nasim Zehra concludes that 'flawed planning is responsible for Pakistan's current crises' which sums up the ordeal Pakistan is going through in one line.It takes time for boom or recession to hit an economy therefore such situations should be predicted by the 'wizards of finance and economy' - who are taking high salaries which would be enough to feed a village for a month- earlier on. But, it has become a habit in the bueraucracy which is 'running' Pakistan not to generate the process to tackle such matters in advance. Instead, they have devolped 'advance snatching techniques' to take away 'morsels of prosperity' from the people to their own homes. Just throw a look at the mansions 'ALL' these prominent leaders own and you would agree that I am not creating sensationalism.

WILL FATIMA BHUTTO WILL REPEAT HISTORY ??

WILL FATIMA BHUTTO WILL REPEAT HISTORY ?? As the Bhutto blood is flowing in her viens, I see her successful in politics in the future as she's got a lethal weapon which she is using amazingly-the power of pen.The decision she has taken is that she does not want to be a 'political inheritor' and will jump into the political arena with her own potential shows her courageous attitude. In this part of the world, if you belong to a household of prominent political leaders, then its as easy as a snap of a finger to jump into political band-wagon, thus her stance is indeed a 'out of the way' one. Late Benazir Bhutto jumped into the political arena after the death of her father at a very tender age,who got hanged for a murder charge during the martial law period of General Zia, she gained popularity through her bold and brave attitude and came into power twice but her terms were marred with corruption charges and revenge politics. Is Fatima Bhutto, grand daugther of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto who has seen her father and aunt slain brutally only because of their political viewpoints, will bring a positive change in the field of politics or the history is going to repeat itself ?

Do people fear God ?

Do people fear God ?
In any religon of the world, God has sent the message of peace and the guidance to the world time to time through his messengers. God has suggested us to do good deeds in order to get rewarded in this life and the hereafter and when one does evil, he should be ready for Wrath of God. The criminals behind growing injustice, inequality in wealth, racism, harrassments, rapes, terrorising and other evil doings are haunting me to ponder - Do these people fear God?
Along with loving God one should equally fear him so that one thinks twice before indulging into an evil act. The examples of his wrath can be found in history. He sends the angel of death to suck the soul of one evil person or of a whole community who stop getting fear from him. This attitude is not allowed and it boils God anger who later on punishes these people in hell fire. How can such people forget that God is watching each and everyone ?
We cannot see or touch God but he is as near to us as our viens are to our body. They create havoc and panic in the lives of millions around and think that God wont be able to punish them is a thought of a foolish man. But its never too late for seeking forgiveness from God for inflicting damages to his creation. God is kind and the forgiver, go and pray to god for your sins before people pray for you to say Sayonara !

Child Labour

Child Labour in the Indian Sub continent is rising at a flooding rate. Children are forced to work when they are supposed to play as their parents are unable to combat with inflation and poverty. Thus, depriving them of quality education and and from the fun of childhood. Due to this 'under-nutrition' of the soul, it creates a hole in the character of the child which leaves a stain which will haunt him for ages. This 'gap' can lead the child to a horrendous turn in life when he turns old.
Working at such a young age brings danger into their lives on a daily basis. Children are working in factories, construction sites, garages or are used as helpers. They face dangers from their working envoirment day to day which harms their bodies such as the chemicals and the machines which are used in factories, the tools in a workplace and twice the load they carry on their backs can permanently damage their spinal cord or can leave them disabled for life. There are dangers which can kill their mind and sould such as getting beaten up as a punishment when they are unable to perform their tasks or when they see other kids going to school and enjoying life. These dangers totures their souls and bodies.
When these children jump into adulthood some succeed, some remain in poverty and some get astray. Battling the hardships in life, very few children succeed to become masters in their respective fields. While some remain in poverty and make their children do the same. But, what frightens the most is when the children go astray and lose the path of life. The tree of bitterness which grows in their heart during the time leads them to a path where they become lethal for the people around. As they are not educated well enough, they can be easily brain-washed by people with a snap of a finger who later on use them for their own evil purposes thus turning these angels into monsters - terrorists, extremists or criminals.
Parents of such children are not the scapegoat for this issue because they neither have any choice nor the resources. They have to make their children work for the survival of their livelihood. It is the job of the government to take up responsibility and impose measures immediately to save the lives of these little stars who put their lives into danger. This menace could be dealt with free education being provided to children, organisations should be made which would keep a watch on the industries and the government should provide education to the common people about the disadvantages child labour brings into the society. The governments of the Indian Sub Continent boast about high foreign and gold reserves, economic growth and higher standard of livings but are unable to provide people shelter, food and clothing. Its time they start using their resources for welfare than defence otherwise these little stars would be lost.

PATEINCE AND SATISFACTION

There are many partnerships and working relationships going on in this world. Partnerships with God, Partnerships with loved ones, and the partnerships between people in professional life. The rules which drives these partnerships and relationships are 'steering of compromise' ,'engine of honesty' and by 'gears of tolerance'.
Nobody in this world is perfect. People will make mistakes in relationships and people will make mistakes in professional lives but that does not mean the end of world because we humans are puppets made out of mistakes. Difficult situations arise during the course of a partnership but you have to fight it with the three rules. But what will give you the strength to accomplish this ?
Nothing but your partnership with God. Remember him so he remembers you and pray to him before people 'perform final prayer for you'.God sees us inside out, thus hiding from him is the only thing which is impossible in this world. Learn to sacrifice for God and he will give you the power to compromise your preferences for other people's choices. Be honest and God will take care of the rest and guide you on a path where nothing will mislead you. God blesses his creation only after he takes a lenghty exam which seems never ending to us, be tolerant and wait for the fruit as you would definately succeed. In this fight to live according to the art of living, dont get afraid in between of your journey because right path has got thorns and sometimes they come in disguise with roses which can hurt you and others so much that only tolerance would help you. Believe in the creator and in return you will have a wonderful life in this world and in the world waiting for you. Understand the rules of partnerships, Respect the Almighty, understand the characters around you and acknowledge the creation infront of your eyes and you will be bestowed two rewards which you will acheive when you will pass your exam - Patience and Satisfaction. With these two weapons you would be able to keep the devil out of your mind so that he doesnt make a workshop in ur head.

Does Pakistan's future lie in the hands of youth?

For quite sometime, I see newspapers are filled with photographs of students fighting against oppression throughout the world. Let it be against global warming, WTO, WEF ,G-8 or the Orange Revolution in Ukraine. It seems this virus has flown from Europe and landed in the Indian Subcontinent these days. In India, Rahul Gandhi's popularity levels have risen so rapidly that in the coming future his name would have flooded the households throughout the country. Keeping Pakistan in view, names of Bilawal Bhutto, Fatima Bhutto and Bilal Musharaf are being heard quite often these days. Even Shahbaz Sharif's son is heard quite alot of times in newspapers and on TV.
Are these people are going to represent the youth ? Can they lead Pakistan into prosperity ?
Firstly, Bilawal and Fatima Bhutto come from the Bhutto legacy which proves they must be having the 'germs' to jump into politics. They belong to the the third generation of the Bhutto clan which transmits a thought into the minds of the common people that they might turn out to be great leaders in the future. The calmness and straight fowardness found in their personalities along with their educational qualifications grabs attention of Pakistanis around.
Moreover, some what same spirit can be found in the son of Pervaiz Musharaf. Recently, I read in a newspaper about a letter he wrote where he defended his father's military coup and policies quite well. While, Shahbaz's son has been very vocal throughout the period when his father and uncle were spending time in exile.
But will they bring a change to this type of politics or will continue cleaning their dirty linen in public like their elders did at times is the question floating in everyone's mind. If they quarantine the present system of politics, they will add fuel to fire-the 'fire' of economic growth which will reach unprecedented heights. This fire of prosperity would run throughout the country like a wildfire does destroying corruption, political victimisation and poverty. Thus, creating barren land where the seeds of equality, independence, justice, honesty and peace could be sowed. If they dont quarantine the current system of politics, this cruel and evil system will erase the name of 'Pakistan' from the map of the world.
God willingly, more young blood will join politics soon so that they could police this politics which has become criminal and lost its path. With God's grace we as a nation are still surviving, but if this 'misnagement of public' sentiments' carries on it will lead us to a path where in the end we will sink into quicksand- a miracle only and only could save us from there. Hurry up before its too late !

Cage and Chains

Due to our daily work routines and predestined traffic we are missing quality times with our families. People driving from Sharjah-Dubai on daily basis would agree. At times, I am in awe thinking it would not matter much if I had sent them back. But, at the end of the sunlight hours when I reach home and see their delight on seeing me at home it recharges my audacity just like the bunny in the Duracell advertisement to go out the next day and give my best performance. Our routines and traffic fears us so much that we don’t see the bigger picture. The pictures I see on TV to watch news end of the day is what I say is the ‘bigger picture’ because it urges every soul to do something for the millions who are suffering due to war, poverty and natural calamities. With this notion I doze off but when I rouse up the next morning all the thoughts of serving the humankind which came last night get quarantined. The predators of my good thoughts are unquestionably work stress and traffic that endlessly kill my thoughts day after day. We are grinded by wicked forces that have caught us in a cage made of long working hours instead of long bars and tied with chains made out of anxiety. Therefore whenever I see my pet parrot everyday I feel he grins on me to see that his master is also in a cage which has no doors and no hope. Maybe he’s right. Its time we get rid of the cage and the chains or the parrot would always grin on us.

Pakistan - Musharaf running to 'Big Brothers' in order to gather support

Musharaf's latest visit to the European countries suggests the level of his unpopularity inside the country. Sadly, I guess we are one of the few nations who run for help to other countries during a time of crisis. Its is understood that at a time of a catastrophe, such as an earthquake or a tsunami, developing nations have to ask for help from developed countries. But in the case of Pakistan, the government or even the opposition in that regard runs to foreign powers to solve political matters which could have been solved easily internally. Unfortunately, this has been the case for decades now. Firstly, Nawaz Sharif rang his Saudi brothers to help him out of a death sentence and later on took their services again when he wanted to come back to his 'own country'. Secondly, Late Benazir Bhutto took help from America so that she could come back in the country without getting arrested for corruption cases. Moreover, Musharaf visits 'Uncle Sam' and the European 'Big Brothers' every now and then at a time of an internal crisis. I apologise for not mentioning the times Musharaf has ran outside to solve internal matters beacuse I would make a bigger book than the encyclopedia which is eating dust on my shelf.
I can see the death of this type of politics and politicians very soon in the near future. The youth, people from academia and justice , people from all walks of life and the common public will bury this type of governance for good. The media and the lawyers have launched campaigns officially against the current leadership because they are tired of this tyrant and the way he makes everyone dance on his tunes. Recently, I have analysed that his allies are also creating a 'safe distance' from him because they fear that they could lose the upcoming elections due to his low levels of popularity. Yesterday, Chaudary Parvaiz Elahi, the Former Cheif Minister of Punjab, passed remarks during a rally that Shaukat Aziz is the culprit behind the current flour, wheat and electricity crises. Musharaf expressed his displeasure over Elahi's remarks and asked him not to clean his dirty linen in public. Shaukat Aziz was 'imported' by Musharaf when he snatched power from a popular government in 1999 and thus any negative comments against his ally hits him as hard as a bullet. The Chaudary brothers and most of the ruling party members are in power since the mid 1990's as they were with Nawaz Sharif till 1999 and then shook hands with Musharaf in 2003 to continue their power throughout the country.
The question the nation is asking him is very simple - Is Musharaf a winner or a loser after 9 years of rule ?
Answer - Loser. Big Time.
Firstly, People who he kicked out in 1999 gained power in 2003 elections again and ran the country for 5 years. In addition, it is an accepted fact that a school of thought supported him initially because he got rid of the Sharif and Bhutto as the public was tired of their personal wars. But they came back late last year due to some foreign support they gathered and the popularity they enjoy in their respective provinces.
Question - So what has he DONE in the past 9 years ?
Answer - He has got the following crises into our country :-
1. Muslims are killing each other.
The War on Terror is not even ours. It is America's war and the reason Musharaf is supporting it is because he gets the financial support from Uncle Sam which he shows to the country as high reserves. Our poor soldiers are killing their own brothers as they have taken oath to protect the land of Pakistan. Why this issue cannot be solved through discussions ? Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) pardoned Prisoners of War and signed treaties for peace. Why we cannot follow the path he showed us more than 1400 years ago ?
2. High Inflation rates.
The perfect alibi Musharraf's got is that everywhere in the world the prices of general items are going up. Is this an excuse ? Till how long we have to hear this nonsense about higher gold and oil prices and weak dollar?
It is a major failure from Musharaf's side that he could not maintain economic stability. And it is not his fault, because he belongs to the army and they are not taught in detail about such things. The current flour, wheat and electricity crises are few examples of his mismanagement during his tenure
3. Its a long list and looks like I have to stop here otherwise this is going to take alot of time. But, a thought is floating in my mind - Why did he play with our lives - he must have gained wealth but doesnt he fear God ?
There is a wrong perception by Non-Pakistanis that as the literacy rate is low in our country, which stands at 40%(dont know how true this figure is!),we need a dictator to run our governance. The people in Pakistan are definately having more information about the world than their American counterparts. I will mention a small example, I have heard umpteen times from so many tourists during DSF(Dubai Shopping Festival) that they did not knew that Dubai is an emirate of UAE ! UAE has flourised in the past 36 years and has made its mark on the map through its oil wealth and its diversification from Oil exports to tourism to providing a better business platform for investors. Thankfully, due to cheap print and television media people in Pakistan are very well aware of the harsh realities of the dirty politics going on in our country for decades.
The time's up and the people on their mark in this race and all set to bury these skeltons so deep that no one dares to do what Musharaf has done with his people. Only God can safe this guy from the people's and God's Wrath.

Pakistan - a sick baby

Today's Pakistan is a baby who is deprived of mother's milk. At the age of sixty, it should been as strong as a wrestler. But due to the situations, this baby is not growing because of under-nourishment. Firstly, the political turmoil is disturbing the growth of this country which was the brain child of its founders. Since 1947, Pakistan's politics is engulfed in power politics. Due to the fight for the chair and political victimisation from the holder of the chair later on, Pakistan's resources are wasted by corrupt leaders who just want to succeed themselves or want to supress their enemies-the public. For Example, look at Musharaf, he boasts of economic growth in the country and informs the nation in his every other address about the increase in foreign investments. But, all we have got during his tenure is electricty problems, high wheat prices and a war which is not even ours and which is killing our own brothers and sisters daily. The only effort he is putting in is the way he is fighting with everyone to continue his dicatatorship. Pakistan's arch rival is signing strategic deals with US and is growing at a consdierable rate while our Mr. President is busy sacking the cheif justice, destroying every opposition coming infront of him and now , if its proved , he might also be behind Benazir's assasination.Low pays and high living expenses have tied Pakistanis so tightly that all people care is about their homes. But this nation is built with the struggle of our older generations and the blood of those great people is still flowing in us. This was proved when the cheif justice was sacked, the public came out on the road to register their protests against the government and military dictatorship. People from all walks of life, Academia, Justice and the common man have had enough and are not willing to take orders from a dictator. Pakistan's literacy rate is quite low, but 'We the People of Pakistan' have enough knowledge of Islam and The World that we can run this country better than the one is ruling us. We might not run it as well as a 'Bush' or a 'Blair' but we wont run to other countries to solve our internal problems.Solution is simple. The youth, academia, justice, police, the military and the common man has to forget the differences and stand united against this tyrant and this system of governance. The differences which are put into our hearts is put by those people who are jealous of our unity. They are using the tactic which the British employed when they were ruling the world - Divide and Rule. God willing, nobody will fall for this because this generation is well aware of the realities and have the knowledge to combat it. Togather we will feed this baby, provide the neccessary nourishment and make this infant into a Man who the world will look upto
