GENERALISATION CREATES SENSATIONALISM

As the election fever is on in Pakistan, politicians have transformed into a swarm of bees as they are stinging each other with baseless accusations to make their way to the honey - the power throne. Facts and figures are a neccessity when one wants to prove a point. One should avoid generalisation while criticising each other because it doesnt transmit sense into public but just creates sensationalism. By calling Musharaf or his allies 'bad', is not the formula to win the upcoming elections
Nawaz Sharif and his old friend and now foe of the rival PML - Parvaiz Elahi(A Musharaf ally) - were involved in verbal spat few days back where Sharif called Elahi the 'wrath of Allah' and Elahi replied with an equally stupid remark which is not even worth mentioning. Such accusations leads to the never ending nonsense which is going on for the past six decades.
Just like any other Asian country, India and China , Pakistan is also constructing the bridge to reach success economically. But there are certain elements which are threatening to 'derail' Pakistan from its track. Musharaf and his allies are so involved in corruption and money-making that they left alot of matters unresolved. Dont run to the assumption that I am making a generalised comment but there are facts and figures to prove this. The Central Bank had to swallow a tough pill by adopting tight monetarty policy from Feb. 1 because the government breached its borrowing limits despite of timely warnings from the Central Bank. Moreover, a latest study from World Bank suggests that there will be Pakistan would be struck with a power shortage of 6000 megawatts soon if measures are not taken to avert it. It suggests the Pakistani Government to influx $ 1 billion annually on infrastructure related to electricity, irrigation and other essentials to avoid a catastrophe. Thus the regime can be 'accused' of pocketing borrowed money and financial aids.
In her recent article in KT, Nasim Zehra concludes that 'flawed planning is responsible for Pakistan's current crises' which sums up the ordeal Pakistan is going through in one line.It takes time for boom or recession to hit an economy therefore such situations should be predicted by the 'wizards of finance and economy' - who are taking high salaries which would be enough to feed a village for a month- earlier on. But, it has become a habit in the bueraucracy which is 'running' Pakistan not to generate the process to tackle such matters in advance. Instead, they have devolped 'advance snatching techniques' to take away 'morsels of prosperity' from the people to their own homes. Just throw a look at the mansions 'ALL' these prominent leaders own and you would agree that I am not creating sensationalism.
