HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY !

Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal’s dream of Pakistan turned into a reality on 14th August 1947. Surely, they did not know that the Pakistan they dreamt about is still far from reality. Though, despite of its socio-political problems Pakistan has done considerably well in the past 60 years but that doesn’t not mean in any regard that the performance has been remarkable.

Since its birth, Pakistan had an agricultural based economy. The reason for this purely was the fertile land where anything and everything could be grown. Surprisingly, in Pakistan you can grow any crop, just name it and we will grow it for you. Moreover, most of the population at the time of independence was into farming. Therefore, Pakistan was the best place for investment in agricultural sector because of three factors - fertile land, cheap and experienced labor and a warm water sea port. Fortunately, we were given these three factors on a plate, we just had to cook these three ingredients properly and we would just have to put the morsel in our mouth properly so that it does not create a supply dilemma.

But, rather than putting a morsel one at a time, we gulped down these three essential which are vital to quarantine hunger at one go. This has brought to us a stage where we could be choked to death because we are unable to digest it. Pakistan was an agricultural based society and it should have always been the preference. The government should have implemented agricultural reforms, where the government had to first introduce land reforms, second it had to provide training and consultation for the farmers which crops to grow and how and lastly it had to provide them subsidies so they could have maximized profits which would help to increase the output gradually. Moreover, the leaders of Pakistan at a too early stage transformed Pakistan’s economy to an industrialized one. This move was the feather which broke the back of the camel. Pakistan was a child in a cradle and not ready for this!

Neither did it have the resources nor did it have the expertise. The best ‘MADE IN PAKISTAN’ products are its food items. People world over are crazy about Pakistani Mangoes than an Adam Motor Company’s Revo(Bet, many don’t know what Revo is! Google about it to find out what it is!). To make things easier we would consider the example of UAE. UAE has an oil-based economy and the realized this fact from day 1 due to the fact it had visionary leaders who thought about long term benefits.
Only recently, the UAE economy has diversified towards commerce and tourism after it achieved self sufficiency. But, still the major chunk of the money coming to them is from the oil sector despite of Dubai being the Capital of Arabia.

Unfortunately, we forgot the ground reality that we are farmers and not big belly industrialists. The reason for the development of this thought was due to the constant power game by our incumbent leaders who were always hunger for power and personal success rather than mutual prosperity. It transformed the thoughts of the majority towards corruption because it brings both power and money rapid fast. The development of this thought therefore has now brought its evil effects which are pinching the pockets of the general public. It feels that the saying ‘What you bow is what you reap,” truly depicts the situation in our country. Moreover another side effect of this thought has made the people very materialistic. People can actually weigh if a man/woman is first-rate or not by the virtue of his/her bank balance.

We need to educate ourselves, and then expect a revolution to come and save us. We need have a proper system of governance which excludes the ‘few with vested views’. No good news will come on TV if we sit at home and wait for the hero to save us because the nation which waits for a hero to come and save them is the unluckiest of all. We have to believe that with mutual support and brotherhood we all can be the HEROES Pakistan is waiting for and then I can bet easily that TV channels would be full of good news! Therefore, we can still fill the gaps left by our self interested ‘servants’ by starting to believe in our capabilities.

On 14th August 2008, Pakistan would be 61 years old which could be personified as a gorgeous man full of young blood but transforming towards ugliness and weakness due to the TERMITES* eating it up. But, can the YOUNG BLOOD* fight and kick out the termites? The answer should be a positive one and come before 14th August 2009, or else it might be just a bit too late.

CHARITY...A SOURCE OF GENERATING HAPPINESS

Charity is the source of spreading happiness in the society by giving basket full of benefits to the deserved ones. This benefit is not just entitled for the person who receives relief but it brings equal remuneration for those who sponsor relief to the poor, needy and the orphans. Charity is essential for the development of society because it provides prosperity and calmness to both the receiver and giver, thus creating harmony in the process.

Moreover, charity invents the widest imaginable smile on the faces of the needy. The cause is uncomplicated; it grants them with the vital requirements in life which includes health, education, clothing, shelter and food. These rations are indispensable to the growth of a person’s character and his livelihood. Hence, the lesson to be learnt for the ones born with a golden spoon in their mouth is that they should be grateful to the Almighty Lord for his generosity. In fact, we are blessed with health and wealth to such a large extent that we should employ these two resources to supply assistance to the people who deserve the most for mutual benefit.

“The likeness of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah, is as the likeness of a grain (of corn); it grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains. Allah gives manifold increase to whom He Wills. And Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knower.” (2:261)

Interestingly, the above verse from Quran confirms the notion that the ones who contribute from their wealth to the needy will have their wealth blessed and multiplied. Moreover, it will bring prosperity and economic satisfaction in the lives of the giver and receiver because it will open the doors for success and peace to come in as Allah would start showering them with his blessings continuously.

I express my gratitude to the Lord for making me a part of Human Relief Foundation (HRF), a well renowned NGO, which aims to supply assistance to the ones who deserve the most in our society. The organization is dedicated to provide facilities so that the poor, needy and the orphans have the state of art facilities of health, education, clothing, food and shelter. To reach this goal, the HRF has reached the remotest areas in the earthquake hit areas of Kashmir to provide the local people with basic amenities by providing them relief. During Ramadan, food packages are given to the deserved ones so that their oven remains hot during the holy month. Moreover, meat packages are provided at the time of Qurbani to circulate ‘right money’ to the ‘right people’. Additionally, HRF constructed a lot of Shelters for the people who lost their houses during the earthquake and provided them a place to remember Allah – mosque. Therefore, my brothers and sisters give charity to the deserved ones in order to bless your wealth and to spread smiles on the faces of those who are crying for your help – mutual benefit.

MUSHARRAF SHOULD BE IMPEACHED

Why Musharaf should be impeached?

Unfortunately, people who benefited from the era of Musharraf ask – Why Musharaf should be impeached? - I haven’t heard a sillier question than this in my short span of 22 years. Assumingly, I am ‘sure’ people have become blind due to the illusion he has created with the help of his finance manipulators – e.g. Shaukat Aziz. But that doesn’t mean other senses stop working, especially ‘sense of shame’.

What’s that! (I can hear someone saying that, right now!)

Well, ‘sense of shame’ is essential to live a life with good morals. If ‘sense of shame’ goes into a deep slumber then indulging in evil practices would be deemed noble. Most of the people possess this sense which assists them to avoid indulging in sinful activities, accept their mistakes and take concrete measures to avoid repeating it. The point to mention this type of sense was to make it easy for the ‘gypsies’ in the ‘pro-Musharraf bandwagon’ to understand that he ‘should’ be impeached. Mr. (self proclaimed) President does not have this particular sense and I believe who don’t have this sense are ‘shameless’ and ‘senseless’ i.e. such a person is not fit to represent us. Hilariously, he boasts that he took money for the people he handed over to Americans and did not give them for free. Wow!

When someone is given the authority to do a task that means he is responsible for it too. So it’s silly for Musharraf to blame the incumbent government for the current crises – the crises which started to unfold after his mismanagement which brought dilemmas manifold. Although, Musharaf was not given the authority but people did give him the task to perform well but he failed miserably.

Therefore, the best advice for Mr. President is to avoid indulging in further immoral activities-money making, frauds such as Steel Mill & Stock Exchange, treason and violating the Islamic code and constitution-and quit from his office, stand in the court for a trial and accept his mistakes. I will recommend him to learn from the judges who stood for the restoration of justice and pledged that they would change the sham way of judiciary by not bending their backs in front of the powerful. I would recommend him to stand in the court and accept his mistakes, who knows he might get punished less for his show of bravery and humbleness which he has not showed up till now. And if he does this, I will be the first Pakistani to salute him for accepting his heinous crimes because no one has the guts to do such a thing – What do you say, President?

How would one weigh a person?

Ah, I know a bigwig has just said what a stupid question is this, because the answer is as simple as putting an elephant in the refrigerator – where you open the door of the refrigerator, put the elephant inside and close the door!

No, it’s not a straightforward answer or else we all would be as good as Socrates. To find the answer read on further.

People judge each other with different criteria. This criterion is developed in one’s mind for various reasons. Some people make decisions within the circle of culture and heritage. Moreover, some consider ‘glamour’ a factor for approval or for disapproval of things not even related not to the ‘fashion’ industry. Furthermore, some people from our elite class who have an abnormality on their nose which is always pointed towards the sky weigh the person higher who has got a higher bank balance. And some poor souls are forced to follow such criteria in order to survive in the society of the 21st century.

For Instance, if you go to seek a job and you are well dressed than your chances of getting the job are more even if you have fewer capabilities than the one who knows more but can’t afford better dressing than you. That definitely doesn’t mean that I am suggesting that one should not be clean and well dressed. Cleanliness is equal to half of one’s faith. But, equal opportunities should be given to all sects of people. On the basis of clothing one should judge each other. Give the person an opportunity to the person with capabilities so that he improves his lifestyle too. Another phenomenon which is circulating like the dengue fever is to get a job through sources rather than struggling in the job market with your capabilities. If the person is qualified and suitable for the job then there is no harm in getting that job through a resource. But usually people with fewer capabilities get hired instead of the ones who deserved it on merit.

Furthermore, in Asian culture mostly, when one tries to get married, be it men or the fairer sex, one actually goes through a TRIAL. One has to wait for the approval for ages from the opposite side until they are convinced that he/she is monetarily well off. Of course the girl’s side would be concerned about the resources of the prospective man so that they can maintain a trouble free married life. But, that is not exactly what it seems. Most of them actually desire an ultra rich man so that he can provide her with all the luxuries in life. And in this process of probing, many parents forget overlook other aspects which are also necessary for wedlock and they also forget that too much luxuries makes life so relaxed that one forgets to remember the Almighty. On the other hand, the boy’s parents look for a rich family too so that they could benefit monetarily in the future. For example, these days many relationships turn into business deals later on in order to protect ventures from dissolution. Moreover, most are interested in dowry, which is a crime in the eyes of religion, while some require assurance of financial support till the end of their lives.

Even in the Western society, there are weird factors which are taken into consideration before a marriage. The conservatives don’t marry their daughter to a person until and unless he earns better than average. While just like the Asian parents, they don’t let their children marry to those who are out of their caste or who don’t belong to their social class. A good example of this is of Robert De Niro who had difficulty to give her daughter’s hand to a male nurse, though he earned well, in the movie ‘Meet the Parents’.
While the liberals who don’t want to have parents’ consent, usually marry after a ‘one night stand’ which has definitely become the reason for the increase in the divorce rate in the Western countries.

All such examples lead to the basic point that man enjoys ‘man-made’ rules. These ‘man-made’ rules are creating differences and increasing discrimination between brotherhoods at the speed a hare sprints. What one doesn’t know is that one day all this would exhaust because there are limitations to the rules of men due to the fact that we humans can’t make better guides to life than God because we are biased when something concerns or affects us. Thus, the people who follow the guide provided from the All Knowledgeable would succeed the same way tortoise did by being – slow and steady. To find a solution, usually, we develop a short cut to overcome our difficulties in life which in the end are not always acceptable to the Creator. Such shortcuts are made of lies and to cover one lie one has to say another 1000 lies which means more distress and suffocation is to continue. Such ‘man-made’ rules have given birth to new forms of discrimination.

If we go back five to six hundred years back discrimination was on the basis of religion – the crusades are the best example of it. Rewind a little to three to four decades back we read in history about racism on the basis of color – The Indo-Pak history or the American Black Rights movements are the proofs of this adversity. Swift forward to 2008, we find discrimination on the basis of wealth and glamour because we are hungry for these two aspects currently. We want to dance under the shower of wealth with the lady who is not even ours. This surely indicates that the weakness in faith is growing at an alarming rate, the same way suicide bombing’s increasing in Pakistan.

We have to learn and we have to stop abiding to man-made rules. We have to follow the guidelines of our Creator.Let’s make it simpler for those who are unable to understand.

Look, when one buys a home appliance, car etc, we get a manual with it on how to use it properly by the developer, right?

If we don’t use it accordingly than the consequences will make the machinery damaged and after sometime we have to dispose it off without using it for the time it could have been used, right?

In the same way we have to follow the guidelines provided by Allah in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle or in that regard to prolong our stay in this world, easy, right?

Therefore, we have to stop weighing people on materialistic aspects. For example, the next time we weigh a person to in order to conduct business with him or not, the most important aspect is to investigate whether the person is honest. The most important thing to be taught in educational institutes is that money is the dirt of one’s hand, it will sometime stick like dirt on your hand not leaving your pockets and keeping you satisfied and on the other day it will flow down the gutter just like the butter slips out of our hand. But honesty is a quality which is like an engraving on your heart which means it cannot wear off and only death of morality can remove this impression from one’s heart.

The ideal way to evaluate a person before any specific task is to judge the person on the criteria which tells the difference between right and wrong in a character. Materialistic criteria usually provides shield to people who have hollow personalities and shortcomings. Instead of erasing their shortcomings, they continue to indulge in protecting themselves through the ‘armor of glamour and money’ to prolong their vested desires. It’s humorous that these people take life so easy and don’t worry about the life hereafter where all luxuries are free of cost if one has lived life on earth in accordance to the Order of The Greatest.

Thus, eradicate such criteria from your lives and you will see love, wealth and happiness coming into your homes otherwise such rules will only bring disharmony, dissatisfaction and loss. We have made simple things into complex with the advent of our own set of rules and regulations. ‘Simple living and Great Thinking’ will take you to the garden of heavens where the rivers of honey and milk are waiting to serve you while the opposite will push you further down the pit of woes and Hell fire later on.

I believe the answer to the question on the top was actually as easy as putting an elephant into the refrigerator, wasn’t it?

Brave PAKISTAN is a threat to USA.

We hear everyday by the media of Musharaf’s coalition partners that Pakistan is a terrorist state. Moreover, we were told that we would be sent back to the Stone Age at the time of Afghan war post 9/11. Nevertheless, we are warned by Uncle Sam day after day to sort things out or else they would come to sort it out. We have two neighbors whose public are not against us but the Governments surely are. Wretchedly, we can boast that we are the country most affected by suicide bombings. Just like a dam overflows with water and destroys livelihood nearby, which is not happening here but definitely not a difficult task, several questions have arisen due to these uncertainties which is causing destruction to the minds of the natives here. Questions are simple and Answers are even simpler.

QUESTIONS

Why does USA want to destroy Pakistan like it destroyed Afghanistan and then Iraq?

Why our neighbors find us a threat and make us scapegoats for the mess in their own house?

Why is Pakistan been targeted by suicide bombings continuously without fail?

Well as I said it’s simple. USA has a history of meddling in the affairs of countries which are threat to its ideology. Their ideology is completely based on the theory of capitalism where profits are more important than mankind. USA has fought with Germany, Japan, Italy, Vietnam, Korea, Soviet Union, China Iraq and Afghanistan in the past and present as it became a threat to the existence of its ideology. Germany, Japan and Italy were targeted because they tried to wipe the Jews from God’s green earth. Vietnam, Korea, Soviet Union and even China were attacked because communism attacks capitalism just like uproar attacks peace. Moreover, Iraq and Afghanistan are always feared by the West for their history and present. It’s not too long ago for one to forget the might of Changez Khan and the history of the Babylonians who crushed the biggest armies of that time. Moreover, Taliban’s ideologies were at times too strict which were not always in accordance to the teachings of Islam but it scared USA because Taliban was united, had faith in God and were disciplined. Although I disagree with their severe and at times fatal approach towards to issues related with women in particular.

Our neighbors, India and Afghanistan, are actually not scared. Instead, they are weak to handle us alone and for that matter of fact are as cunning as a fox. If we were puny for India, we would have not survived six days rather than six decades, India should have swallowed us up. While the Afghan Government just controls Kabul and some provinces which makes them too frail to open up the pages of the bloody history and claim parts of NWFP and Balouchistan as theirs, but Karzai uses this ploy for adding fuel to fire. Therefore, our smart neighbors blame us for anything it can be a bomb blast, piracy etc. and who knows we might be even blamed for pollution because we love potatoes and fatty foods! Their approach is simple, blame Pakistan and tell media ‘YOU wanted a hot cake, here it is!’, so that Uncle Sam knows about it and create problems later. Hey, don’t think US bureaucracy is dumb because they fall for their gimmicks; they need alibis to feed their pets in Pakistan and assure the West with the same morsel that they are just trying to eliminate terrorism and help ‘Pakistan secures its strategic assets’.

‘Suicide Bombing’ has become one of the ‘three things’ every Pakistani thinks and says ‘Oye! Aey teen kitho aye? (Oy!from where have these three have come?). We have earned this punishment because we overslept or in fact are still sleeping. We got this punishment for killing our Muslim brethren. Why? Simple, we forgot that God who blessed us with our desire for an Islamic State. We kill our Muslim brothers every day because Uncle Sam is actually a blood thirsty vampire? Why do we worry when people die in a suicide attack when we kill each other daily on the Afghan Border, death is death right? Then why weep! God actually made things easy for us. He saw that we desired to kill our race so he’s helping us in it, right? WRONG, and if someone really asks this question, he/she/it needs to get its head examined!

USA wants to wipe us out because :-
- Our Islamic ideologies are against capitalism;
-This country is one of the two countries made in the name of religion and ours throws shrills down the spine of the second one – Israel;
-We have successfully fought with superpowers without any fear such as the UK monarchy, Indian oppression, USSR in Afghan War and Israel through secret missions;
-We are the only Islamic state threat to their livelihood because we have got the BOMB!

The neighbors find us a threat because Pakistan’s a good place for them to wash their dirty linen. Thanks to our leaders who allow them.

Suicide Bombing will get eradicated as soon as the majority realizes the reason for this Muslim State.

To conclude, we should look at few aspects. Pakistan is a threat EVEN if Musharraf continues to lick Uncle Sam’s muddy boots day and night for the Zionist. Pakistan is STILL a threat for the evil though we don’t have a basic principle of our religion applied to our governance-justice. So, we should be proud of what we are and thank God to chose us the ‘chosen ones’. Lets start teaching our kids from today by telling them that they have not come in this world JUST TO GET EDUCATED, GET A JOB, MARRY& HAVE BABIES. Tell them the reason for his/her existence by telling them the reason for the creation of this world. In order to do this we need educational reforms in Islamic and World studies as fast its possible because we have got literates round here who are damaging our pillars with their illiteracy. Just like the Maulana in our town mosque who happens to be the caretaker of the mosque too. He is quite educated and tells public about Islam but, yes there is a big BUT to this. When my grand father told him that everyday someone is losing their shoes due to theft and suggested to allow him to keep shoe racks for the safe-keeping of footwear, the Maulana replied, ‘Miti jama hojayegi,na?’(Dust would be accumulated, right?)

This is in reply to the letter of WG.CDR. (R) AHMED S. JAN (DAWN, 20th May). I completely disagree with his notion that Zardari is abiding with the Bhurban Deceleration and Nawaz Sharif is not. I would request him to read the text of the accord once again:

1 - Allied parties, the Pakistan Peoples Party and the Pakistan Muslim League (N) resolve to form a coalition government for giving a practical shape to the mandate, which was given to the democratic forces by the people of Pakistan on February 18, 2008.

2 - This has been decided in today’s summit between the PPP and the PML (N) that the deposed judges would be restored, on the position as they were on November 2, 2007, within 30 days of the formation of the federal government through a parliamentary resolution.

3 - The parties agreed that all allied parties would fully support the candidate for the position of the prime minister, nominated by the PPP. The PML (N) suggested that the candidate for prime minister should be such person who can take ahead the common agenda of the allied parties.

4 - The parties agreed that the speaker and the deputy speaker of the national assembly would be from the PPP while the speaker and the deputy speaker of the Punjab assembly would be from the PML (N).

5 - Both the parties agreed that the PML (N) would be a part of the federal government while the PPP would be a part of the Punjab government.

6 - This is the solid opinion of the leaderships of both the parties that the allied parties are ready for forming the governments and the sessions of the national and provincial assemblies be summoned immediately.

Several clips can be shown to prove the stance of PPP on the judges’ issue before the election. For your information, a few WEEKS back in the show Live with Talat, Talat Hussain showed numerous clips of Farzana Raja, Jahangir Badar and Raja Pervaiz where they vouched to re instate the judges because they considered the NOV. 3 act illegal. It’s a shame that these leaders are applying the use of spin doctrine to change their stance. While, the sacrifice Nawaz Sharif made for the restoration of judges was by agreeing to sit in the Cabinet whose members have to take oath from the President he deems to be unconstitutional rightfully.

1 -‘The latest version of the Constitution, a preface of which has been written by law secretary Justice Bin Yamin, contains new articles — 270-AAA, 270-B and 270-C — providing indemnity to the acts of the president, including the sacking of about 60 judges of superior courts upon proclamation of emergency on Nov 3.’

2 - ‘When asked about his position on the amendments, Mr Naek said the constitution could only be amended as per requirement under articles 238 and 239. He said the amendments inserted in the constitution after proclamation of emergency on Nov 3, 2007, had not been validated by the parliament yet and therefore, the document was a “disputed one.” That was why, he said, he had not allowed its distribution.

3 - Similarly, when contacted to seek the official position of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), a spokesman Farhatullah Babar said that Article 270-AAA had been implanted through an executive order and unlike 270-AA, it has not been validated by the parliament. “As such it is not a valid piece of legislation in the eyes of law and the constitution,” he added’

I would like to ask Mr. Naek and especially Mr. Farhatullah Babar the question – According to above quotes, you consider the laws (PCO) made during the emergency are illegal because the parliament has not yet validated it. According to this once again, one can assume that the following to laws are illegal:-
- The sacking of the pre Nov. 3 judiciary;
- The appointment of new judges who took oath under the PCO. Then, what is the reason for the delay for the restoration of the judges when your stance is so clear?

Mr. Jan,I hope the above arguments would have cleared the ambiguity and made you realize that the stance of PPP was similar to that of PML-N. In fact, PPP has broken the promises so that they can enjoy the benefits of the throne.

Iftikhar Chaudhry took oath on PCO in 2002 and now rejected the PCO in 2007?
The PCO which Musharraf presented in 2002 was not declared null and void by the Supreme Court of that time. The PCO of 2007 declared martial law in the country and abrogated the constitution. It was anti-constitutional, anti-state and clearly against the rights and wishes of the people of Pakistan. Furthermore, the PCO of 2002 and the oath of office order were given indemnity by a two-thirds majority in both houses – the 17th constitutional amendment. Therefore, from a purely legal point of view, taking oath under that PCO was not illegal. No doubt we have our reservations even about the first PCO and its legality, but the fact of the matter is that it was, in one way or the other, given some legal cover. On the other hand, the PCO of 2007 and the oath of office order haven't yet been given any constitutional cover by Parliament; therefore, it is not legal. Hence, taking oath under it is also extra-constitutional and illegal.
Beyond the legal argument, let us also keep in mind that the most popular democratically elected leader in our history, Z.A.Bhutto, was once in the cabinet of a dictator. So was Nawaz Sharif, another popular leader (during Zia's dictatorship). If we can forget this and support these leaders for the cause of democracy, why not the PCO of 2002 for the cause of an independent judiciary?
Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry got his son appointed at a position which he did not deserve. A notice on this was sent to the President and thus he rightly removed him?
As per the Constitution of Pakistan, the President has no right to remove a judge of the SC. The only way through which a judge of the superior judiciary can be removed is through a mechanism provided in the Constitution - the Supreme Judicial Council, which consists of the three most senior judges of the Supreme Court, and the two most senior chief justices of the four high courts of Pakistan. The council, after due inquiry, is authorized to retain or remove the judge against whom a reference has been filed.
Let's assume the Chief Justice was guilty of the alleged act of nepotism, who gave the illegal, self-proclaimed President of the country the right to remove a serving Chief Justice (CJ) of the Supreme Court of Pakistan?
Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry rejected the bail plea of Zardari. Why?
This is not correct. He was not the CJ at the time when his bail plea was presented. And in case he was responsible for this, should we forget all his contributions for the nation and state from July 2005 to November 2007 and reject him for not supporting one single person – whose character is hardly considered blameless by the public at large!
The judiciary has been responsible for the murder of ZA Bhutto. Every dictator derailed the process of democratization in Pakistan by using the judiciary to validate his rule. Now why are you shouting for them?
This is very true and is the basic reason for the success and gusto of the lawyers’ movement. The judiciary has been the puppet of dictators in the past but this is the first time in our history that the judiciary has taken a principled and moral stand. By rejecting PCO and Emergency Rule, they have resisted a military dictator for the sake of the supremacy of the Constitution and the sovereignty of Pakistan. We have an opportunity to strengthen our institutions. Democracy won't prosper until we have an independent judiciary to shelter it.
Well, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was reinstated in July 2007 and remained the CJ till November 2007. What were his character and achievements in this period and throughout his tenure as the CJP ?

18,000 cases solved of a total of 26,000 filed cases.
7,000 suo moto notices on various issues providing free and quick justice for the people. It is to be noted that the total number of suo-moto notices was 21,000 where 7,000 were solved. Several suo moto notices on national issues despite Army rule is yet another first in the history of Pakistan.

Notice on price hike and food crisis
Rejected the anti-constitutional, anti-state PCO and put the dictator to the courts. A clear rejection to the ‘doctrine of necessity’.
Suo moto notice on steel mill privatization case which was being sold for less than 10% of its value. He blocked this corruption worth more than 100 billion PKR!
Suo moto notice on the tragic May 12 massacre in Karachi where 48 were killed and Musharraf announced that there would be no inquiry, labeling it the force of the people.

A friend of a friend of a friend of mine told me that XYZ judge took ABC million rupees for a case. Why are you shouting in favor of such corrupt judges? They are rightly deposed!
"Always decide on principles, moral values and law, no matter people call it wrong or whatever", says Hazrat Ali in one of his letters to the newly appointed governor of Egypt of his times.
As already discussed, the judges were deposed illegally and un-constitutionally. Musharraf himself admitted in his interview with BBC that this was un-constitutional. As per principles and moral values, even if they were corrupt, they could not and should not have been removed like this. Two wrongs don't make a right!
Secondly, none is perfect. They might have made mistakes in the past as they are humans. I marvel at how easily we forget the corruption of the politicians which we elect over and over again but are not willing to forget minor issues even when we often lack hard facts and have no more than hearsay to go by. The principled stand which these judges took on 3rd November 2007 is historic and enough for us to label them the real heroes of the nation. Their contributions are commendable and prove their abilities and dedication.
But why would Musharraf have to remove the judges when his public image was already getting weak. He was trying to improve his image and thus removing them must have been correct.
When Musharraf removed him and his colleagues, CJ Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing an important case related to the legality of Musharraf as the President of Pakistan. Musharraf was afraid of the upcoming decision as the judiciary had recently gained independence. Musharraf asked his allies, the King's party, for assistance and those incompetent supporters must have suggested that he remove the judges, telling him there was no other way left.
There are hundreds of issues in Pakistan like energy crisis, food crisis, price hike etc. Why are you over-politicizing the judicial crisis?
Because, 'kufr ka nizaam chal sakta hay par na-insaafi ka nahe. jahan adal na ho wo bastiyan ujaar jati hain' (Hazrat Ali).
Judiciary is indeed not the only problem facing Pakistan but it is the most important one. The judiciary is one of the pillars on which the state of Pakistan stands! We are facing many problems but the point is that once we have an independent and honest judiciary, the majority of these problems might be solved as everyone could then be held accountable. Everyone will be subject to the law irrespective of his position. Atleast, this would be the first step in the right direction.

The answer lies in the fact that we lack an independent judicial system. People break the law because they know they can escape from the law-enforcement authorities. The solution lies in having an independent judiciary which judges on the basis of principles and the law. Once such a system is in place where everyone is equal before the law, a large proportion of such problems will be rapidly resolved.
It is to be noted that food, energy, residence etc are needs of the individual while independence of judiciary is the need of the society in general. Independence of judiciary, supremacy of law and democracy are those needs of the society which ensure the existence and well-being of the state.
Let's say these judges are restored, what's next? What's the guarantee that they won't ditch us, that they will remain independent and honest?
There is no such guarantee; neither can there ever be one. Some people say Parliament is supreme, others say the Constitution is supreme. I say the nation is supreme, the citizens themselves are supreme. Thus we, as a nation, should keep a check on everything and everyone, whether it is politicians, bureaucrats, military or judges. We must seize the power to be supreme and to hold everyone accountable to us. This is an opportunity for us to do so.
Pakistan is going through a transition and we must keep our eyes wide open and play our role. Further, I personally believe that the strength which the students and civil society have recently gained, courtesy Musharraf and the lawyers' movement, must remain intact. The citizens have been transformed into activists and we must be like this. Our active participation can guarantee strong institutions. If we have been on roads for more than a year for a principle and a moral cause, supporting the judges, we must come out to show our strength in case they ditch us.
Why is the lawyers’ movement focused on one person i.e. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry? Isn't it personality promotion?
Not at all. Lawyer's movement backed by civil society, students and media demands the restoration of all illegally deposed judges. It's not just about personalities, it’s about principles. Every judge who refused to take oath under the PCO commands our respect for taking a principled stand. It's not about Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, it’s about principles, moral values, supremacy of law and the Constitution. For his clear stand against Musharraf, he has become a symbol of resistance.
What is the problem with the suspected Constitutional package which increases the retirement age to 68 years and restricts Iftikhar Chaudhry’s tenure as the CJP to 2010?
Musharraf deposed around 60 judges of the superior courts including the CJP on the grounds that he was expecting a decision against him. He replaced them with the judges of his choice who took oath under the anti-state PCO validating martial law in the country.
Deposing the judges by Musharraf, an illegal president, is unconstitutional. Why do we need a constitutional package to rollback an unconstitutional action? A constitutional package to restore the judges would be accepting the illegal and unconstitutional actions of Musharraf of 3rd November 2007 as correct !

Iftikhar Chaudry has to remain the CJP till 2013. Under what principles is his tenure being reduced to 2010 ?
Dogar is to retire in March 2009 for he is approaching 65, the earlier age limit. Increasing the retirement age to 68 is to make sure that Dogar becomes the CJP after Iftikhar Chaudhry leaves in 2010.
The constitutional package, if necessary, should focus on strengthening the institutions rather than focusing on individuals.
Restoring these judges violates the Charter of Democracy (CoD) signed by the PPP and PMLN which says PCO judges would not be accepted?
This is a myth. The Charter of Democracy signed on 14 May 2006 says:
"No judge shall take oath under any Provisional Constitutional Order or any other oath that is contradictory to the exact language of the original oath prescribed in the Constitution of 1973."
The deposed judges took oath on the PCO before the CoD was signed. They refused to take oath on the anti-state PCO of 2007 when CoD existed. Those judges who took oath on this PCO should not be accepted as this is a violation of the CoD.
Moreover, keeping the PCO judges and restoring the deposed judges of the SC will bring the total number of judges in the Supreme Court to 27. India with a population ten times more than us has 26 judges. Why do we, an under-developed country, need 27?

Unity, Faith, Discipline

Unity, faith and discipline - I wonder who follows it these days in our country. This dream of Mohammad Ali Jinnah is stomped on harshly by the successive regimes of our country. Unity creates brotherhood and gives patience in return to survive with people of different ideologies, Faith is the basis for the creation of this country – the country was made for the Muslims of the people of the Indian Subcontinent, while discipline is required to create peace in the country.

But, due to the interest of the few, we have stopped implementing the three most essential rules of life. All what I have said up till now does not signify that that this trio of success is not present in the country anymore. It’s present in the divided form but is not embraced as a whole in our system.

At the time where we are at crossroads, we have to learn and unite with each other. We have to unite because we want to throw the concept of ‘divide and rule’ by the British to the garbage. We need to have unity at the national level to evade a civil war and internationally to eradicate ‘Islam-o-phobia’.

Ah! Don’t be surprised about this term; it’s the latest type of phobia which has spread in the West. The westerners are afraid of Islam because they think that the Muslims are a bunch of terrorists. This has been spread by the people who want to shake the foundation of Islam. This is actually the second step which they have adopted to erase us from this world. The first was to lure us to the capitalist world which they done very successfully. Our entrance into the world of capitalism, has tied us in such chains that we are often concerned about the materialistic world which makes us fail to the see the bigger picture – the autocracy by the nepotism.

Islamic countries are going through its worst ever turmoil as the three most essentials rules of life and peace are fading away. Brothers are killing their own brothers, raping their sisters and there is pandemonium all over. Mayhem can be curtailed and peace can prevail; all is possible if we go through a re-incarnation process where we realize the importance of religion. Religion teaches us tolerance which will make the learning process of unity, faith, and discipline easier.

We are sent by God to perform duties which include protecting the religion. We have to perform well in our work field and socially so that we can throw Islam-o-phobia in the bin. We don’t have much time to wait either. Or, we can’t live on thinking that someone will come or God will come and make things easier for us. Thus, we need to have faith in the Almighty lord and unite with discipline so that we can fight those elements who are trying to wipe out our existence otherwise we are doomed.

BEGGING is as BAD as AIDS

Begging is one of the activities which God loathes the most. But, we still several of them roaming around. Sometimes I feel the fear of God is not present in our society anymore. God forbid, but it seems like that we have become gladiators who are not afraid from the wrath of Allah. Coming back to the topic, begging has become a curse on our society. It looks like we will never get rid of this menace. But, on a positive note, everything’s possible because where there is a will there is a way.

The government and NGOs need to turn their attention towards the beggar community and they should provide solutions too. It’s easier to say than to make it done, therefore solving such matters is not easy as a snap of finger. A lot of commitment and patience is required from the authorities to tackle this situation. Commitment is required to ensure the continuity of the eradication of beggary while patience is essential because the authorities have to influence the un-educated.

The most important aspect to remind them is that one should always pray to be blessed. By pleading for money they are committing themselves to sin and additionally they are losing the blessings of Allah. Indulging in this sin has a heavy punishment as informed by the Holy Messenger of Allah: "A person keeps on begging until he meets Allah (on the Day of Resurrection) with no flesh on his face." (Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim). Moreover, one who begs should forget that he might be rich some day because Allah takes away dignity from the beggar’s life as Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said: "Begging is similar to scratching the flesh off your face; so if someone wants to save his face he should avoid it, except for asking from the ruler or asking in case of dire need." (Reported by Abu Dawud and An-Nisa'i). This implies that dignity is essential for this life and the hereafter.

There are two groups in the field of beggary. One is the category of professional beggars and the other is the needy. I quote Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) once again here to clarify that begging is unlawful and people should abstain from it: "Charity is Halal (lawful) neither for the rich nor for the able bodied." (Reported by At-Tirmidhi). Therefore, a person who is able to work does not deserve charity thus the case for professional beggars is ‘shut and close’. The needy deserve the charity because they are unable to make the ends meet.

But, to cure this disease we need give a look on the reasons people opt to place themselves in the beggar hood instead of associating them in the working class. Some people opt for earning income through begging to pay off their loans. If you have deep look inside the lives of these people you will find out that they were once living their life self-sufficiently as farmers. But, due to the agricultural crisis and feudalism they lost their jobs and were left in debt because their income of source got vanished. The feudalist starts to threaten them to pay off or face dire consequences. The result – they jump into begging to clear their debts. We should sympathize with this segment of people but that does not mean that they should resort to begging. Additionally, a section of people is present in our society who resorts to begging because they find it as an easy source of income generation. Moreover, they push their children into this occupation because they know that people can be easily blackmailed by their innocence. Horrifyingly, the beggars at times disable their children physically to earn more funds. There is no gadget in the world to gauge the level a human being can lower himself.

Beggars tarnish the image of the country and Islam. Therefore, strict measures should be taken so that nobody dares to be a street beggar. Islam does not teach us to beg instead one is deprived of the blessings of Allah. The government should take a tough stance on the beggar’s mafia by making this occupation as bad as a crime like prostitution. If this law is applied, then it would be as easy as a snap of a finger to stop this ‘blackmailing’ done by the beggars as police force could be used to take this occupation near extinction. Moreover, the needy people should be identified and helped immediately. They should be provided with food, clothing and shelter without delay so that they stop asking for money. Moreover, they should be trained as skilled workers and given the opportunity to work so that they don’t indulge in this sin ever again. While, the children should be provided free education because we don’t want the future generation to know that such an occupation existed ever in our country.

The biggest drawback to our misery is the lack of leadership. The leadership crisis has become so threatening that if it’s not solved soon, we would be thrown back to ‘Jahiliat’. Once we are back there, then we should start gearing up for the Day of Judgment.

Education is the car in which we will ride to the journey where prosperity waits for us..

We are the beginning of the new century which is nearing its first decade, more than six decades old and are still lagging behind in the field of education. People from the west have reached the moon and are trying to touch other galaxies because they invest in the most vital entity for the survival of harmony – education. Education instills in one’s mind the urge to excel in ones desired field. Moreover, it acts as an eye-bath for the eyes of the public which are relentlessly being infected by the dust blown by selfish opportunist leaders. But for the past sixty years, ‘adventurers’ of the ‘MT. loot-at-every-given-opening’ have denied the human of its basic right i.e. education. To save their skin from accountability of drying up our resources, these sly capitalist organizers have spread foolishness into the houses of the masses because they know that if education prevails then they would have to pack their bags up to go for a long and agonic journey to hell. As a result, the most important condition required for the spread of education is political will because without it there would be no commitment i.e. absence of a positive result. To achieve positive results in the field of education so that we make the populace literate following steps are must.

Firstly and most importantly, the children should be provided free education and parents should be provided employment opportunities so that they don’t force their children into the work-field. Government should open up nationalized business which will be involved in the manufacture of goods which can be exported for a profit. These government business ventures should open up in each and every ‘nook and corner’ of the country so that local people are employed, and paid well, so that they don’t push their children into the pit of work field. This would encourage parents to send their children to school and will also help the government to provide education on the house with the funds generated through the business ventures.

Secondly, the infrastructure of the school should be upgraded so that level of commitment and urge for achievement rises. In Pakistan, most of the students in the government schools are deprived of electricity several times during the school timings which disallows the school to use laboratory and computer facilities. Moreover, due to the menace of electricity state of the art technology for teaching and learning purpose is not available in Pakistan. To regularize this condition, government should provide ‘state of the art’ schools in poor districts so that the children learn in a healthy environment where all facilities are provided for their progress. Moreover, the government should advise WAPDA not to disconnect electricity at schools and universities as it hinders the education process. Additionally number of classes should be increased, toilets should be hygienic i.e. the infrastructure should be analyzed.

Thirdly, the curriculum and standard of teachers should be examined and new measures should be taken to improve the condition. The curriculum is so dull that it does not motivate the children. Children are being taught Allah is great but make them understand the meaning of Allah and his greatness. Stories from Prophet Muhammad’s life should be shared with the children in lighter vein so that the understanding of Islam increases in their mind. Moreover, the curriculum should be made entertaining so that the children enjoy it and learn from it. This will also help in eradicating the problem of booty mafia and blind memorizing. Teaches should conduct exercises so that the children could apply what they have learnt. Most importantly, there should be a ‘check and balance’ system placed at a district level to monitor the teachers. An awful teacher is enough to kill the inspiration in a child who wishes to progress in the future. There have been cases against teachers either punishing children harshly for small mistakes or molesting them. Such activities crush down the morale of a child and can lead him to a dangerous curve of life where a ‘do or a die’ consequence arises. Therefore, curriculum should be so good that even if the teacher is below standard, children learn to ask questions – to ask a question is 50% knowledge. On the other hand, teachers should be selected on the basis of merit so that all probabilities of mismanagement are buried down.

Finally, the government has to play a vital role to implement these measures. Implementation is the key word and political will is the machinery to do it. Government should take all the parties concerned (parents, teachers, administration and youngsters) and make a forum where problems related to the education field are evaluated. Moreover, awareness campaign in rural and urban areas should kick started so that all the parties learn the importance of education. Under performers in school should also be encouraged by the authorities. In order to take this step, government should deploy counsel at all educational institutions to help students with their troubles. Moreover, schemes like ‘Parha Likha Punjab’ should not be initiated because these projects were completely depended on World Bank loans so that individuals can gain popularity. It also creates a dent on our liabilities which pushes us deeper into the pit of debts.

We as a nation have the duty to provide the coming generations with the wealth of knowledge which includes the studies of the world and religion. This duty can be performed exceptionally well if there is dedication from all parties involved. Pakistan has become a vulnerable state because bad decisions are been taken regularly which has caused a leadership crisis. We have to educate the children today so that we make them ready to face the challenges of tomorrow and make them future leaders of Pakistan. Let’s groom the future leaders of Pakistan.

THE BIGGEST QUESTIONS OF ALL TIME

I have some questions for those who say that they want the governement to take actions against wheat shortages and electricity problems at the cost of the judiciary issue. These questions are againstlso targeted towards the supporters of Musharaf. Plus I would also request the group of people who are against Musharaf to answer these questions too. The answers will help to streamline the people responsible for our crises.For ALL I have the following questions :-

1. Who was ruling Pakistan for the past 9 years ?

2. Who was making the socio-economic policies including the decision to support US in Afghan war ?

3. Who was the head of the National Security Council which used to take major decisions linked to the country?

4. Who did not took measures to increase the number of dams so that electricity could be generated ?

5. Who did not take action against those who were behind the hoarding and smuggling of Wheat ?

6. Do you think this person or persons accused should be taken to the courts for corruption and mis governance so that he becomes an example for the leaders of the future to not indulge in corruption ?

7.Before 1999, there were no case of suicide bombing in Pakistan, after the decision of going into the US side against Afghanistan, Pakistan got this menace in return. Thousands of Pakistanis have lost their lives due to this. Tommorow, it can be you or me who will lose our lives due to this decision by an individual and our families will grieve over it for life. Do you want to take the accused person to the court who took the wrong decision on Afghan war for the sake of those crying mothers ?

8. In developed countries, people go to the court if injustice is done to them. Would you prefer going to the court and fight for the right of electricity at all times and wheat at low prices or would you prefer to face the problems ?

9. Would you support a person, it can be you or me, who stands against dictatorship because he/she believes that a forum of representatives from the nation should exist ?

10. Who would you blame for the current wheat, electricity, terrorism and judiciary crises ?(The answer for this question - can be an individual, organization or system of governance.)

11. Do you think government has the right to punish criminals who have broken the law according to the constitution ?

Now, I am expecting straight foward answers to these questions because they are also straightfoward. The questions are either asking names or asking to answer in yes or no. The

US doing what its best at - meddling in our in house affairs once AGAIN

USA has the flair of meddling in our domestic affairs and has once more proved this notion correct. A US congressional panel by Sheila Jackson Lee, a congresswoman, was told on Wednesday the PPP was doing a good job in Pakistan while Nawaz Sharif needed to be watched. As a matter of fact, since the February elections, the only job the coalition is doing is to find the common ground for the restoration of judiciary.

Therefore, it can be assumed that the reason Sheila Jackson is singing songs full of praises for PPP because the Americans approve the stance of Mr. Zardari which is the re-instatement of the judges and the continuity of the PCO judges – the judges who took oath on the draconian law of PCO. In fact, the Americans don’t want the judges back because they want crisis to reign in Pakistan. The reason for this ghastly objective is that they are well aware that if there is peace in the country which gained freedom in the name of religion then the Israeli stance on Palestine would be threatened. The US government knows that Pakistan can be a threat to their support of Israel because in the Russian-Afghan war they have seen the dedication of the Jihadis, which is capable to topple any superpower.

Moreover, Sheila Jackson said that PPP was levelheaded in not having a ‘one on one’ fight with Musharaf which means they believe that they want the heads of each and everyone to be examined! She also expressed that toppling Musharaf would be perilous because he has ‘extensive experience’ in dealing with terrorists. Her statements force the mind to ponder about the pros of his ‘extensive experience’. His experience could not make the Americans win the war in Afghanistan, control the suicide bombs nationwide and bring peace in the mind of the people. The question is – What is the use of such extensive experience when there is no use of it, instead all this has brought is destruction.

America would continue to manipulate our politics because a stronger Pakistan is a threat for the Zionists. Sadly, some Pakistanis, who don’t deserve to be called one, are supporting the American dream of the New World Order where Zionist and opportunists will rule and loot the world. On the other hand, it’s sharing nuclear technology with the Indians in order to make our arch rival stronger so that if there is an uprising in Pakistan against United States of America, it can use India as a weapon.

It is advisable for the leaders of our country to take a tough stance and to enlighten America not to interfere in the running of our house. Our politicians are very well versed in speaking against US ideologies but once they come in power, they don’t fight like Ahmedinejad because they let the Americans buy them, just what Zardari did after the elections. Pakistan has to take the risk of telling the American to remain in their limits and need to remind them that the meaning of Pakistan is that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. When Musharaf says, ‘Pakistan first’, he tries to portray that nation first and religion later on. But how is this possible when the meaning and identity of Pakistan is Islam. Therefore, leaders should develop the courage and to take the risk to throw the relationship Musharaf has constructed with the American Government into garbage, which is evil from every angle, because if you don’t take risks, you don’t drink champagne. We should take this step because as the saying goes- ‘Beshak, Allah madad karney wala hai’.

Zardari's drunk because of Power

Pakistan People’s Party has shown its true colors. Sadly, it has shown that they are ones who cannot keep their word. Moreover, if the judges are not restored, it is a definite political suicide for the party. The party had pledged that they would restore the judges with dignity before the elections and even the Late Benazir Bhutto stated that,’ Our Chief Justice is Chaudary Ifthikar and we will hoist the Pakistani flag once again at his home’. But today the hearts of Pakistanis are heavy because it is carrying the burden of sorrow- the sorrow caused due to the aristocratic behavior of Mr. Zardari.

Zardari wants to be the ‘Birbal’ of ‘Akbar’ Musharaf; therefore, PPP is fighting with PML Q for the title of ‘A-TEAM’ of the establishment. And it can be easily said that they have snatched this title from them with a landslide victory. Zardari is happy that with military support he would be able to rule and loot Pakistan, but that prophecy of his untrue and his thinking is not even smarter than a 5th grader. He supports the establishment, who are the biggest dacoits, who desire to rule over Pakistan illegally by denying the people their basic human rights. Praises should be showered on the acumen of Quaid-e-Azam. he knew before hand that the military would create problems for politicians in the future, there fore, he had put a clause in the constitution which barred army members to indulge and intoxicate in politics. The punishment for breach was death penalty as it is considered to be treason in the eyes of the law- truly indeed. But Zardari and his Self interested Boss are trying to make the law blind, so that they can use it for their own evil purposes, without being caught. Dream on, its not going to happen !

The deposing of the judges was an illegal move by a dictator who wanted to evade justice. This cannot be allowed as it is the duty of everyone to obey the constitution. Pakistan is ours and not the property of few who don’t fear the wrath of God. Musharaf molested the constitution several times, while Zardari is molesting the molested furthermore. Musharaf and Zardari have forgotten that this Pakistan is not the one who is going to sit down and watch tyrants carry out injustices. Zardari has said that the PCO judges should not be removed, this desire of his is as obscene as Michael Jackson’s for children. Zardari
It knows how to stand for its right, and with the grace of God, NOW THE PEOPLE WOULD TAKE THE MATTERS in their hands. Devil has not created a workshop in their heads, instead they are the devils who are trying to create workshops in our land so that evilness, lawlessness and fraud spreads into the minds of the masses. It is heartrending to see Zardari breaking the Muree Accord along with he also crushing the desires of the nation under his shoes. By not restoring the judges, he’s proved that he is hungry for power and money, and one should not be shocked if sells his own motherland for it. Which is EXACTLY WHAT HE is doing !

Mr. Zardari wake up, wake up, WAKE UP from your deep slumber which was caused by the intoxication of the whisky – ‘Lust of Power’. Take the panadol of ‘Caution’ so that you get out of your hangover and make the right decisions. And if you still remain sick, then remain sick, because we know how to get FIT people back into business, you forgot Feb. 18 so soon? Indeed, very bad memory!

Literacy rate in Pakistan

Literacy is the heart and life blood of development. Without it, Pakistan will remain an impoverished and a weak Third World country. If education does not prevail, the problems of Pakistan will reach at a stage which will make this country very vulnerable.
Stastically, Pakistan has made reasonable march since independence in many fields including education. Less than one million students were enrolled in schools at the time of independence, and, astonishingly, 12 million school- age children are enrolled. But more than 12 million children are doing job, putting their lives in danger and missing quality education. As a matter of fact, full enrollment at primary education is still not a reality, but a dream. The recent census tallies in China and India show that Pakistan is substantially behind the two large Asian nations. China’s literacy rate is near 90% and India has reached 65%. Pakistanis around 50 %, this means we need to do better. Moreover, it’s a moment of shame too, because we have lesser population and are not as huge as China and India.If we look provincially on terms of education, NWFP, Baluchistan and Sindh was very much backward at the time of its formation. By now many universities are opened in these three states but sadly women literacy is still less than 30% in these provinces. The resources Punjab were enough to make the province 100 %, but feudal, bureaucratic and political forces did use the resources appropriately. Efforts from Pervaiz Elahi, ‘Parha Likha Punjab’ did not work out as there was lack of commitment while the MMA government effort in NWFP managed to increase just 1% of illiteracy rate in 5 years.
The new setup has a huge task to spread education. Firstly, awareness campaigns should be initiated so that the public, especially from the rural areas, should send both their sons and daughters to schools rather than to work, so that they know the importance of education. Secondly, the root of social and ideological problem is lack of education. People with vested interests target the illiterate for defaming Islam and our society. This happens because people don’t have the capability to distinguish between right and wrong. Moreover, lack of education is also the main cause for the disturbance in the economic sector. As people are not educationally qualified, they are unable to run businesses appropriately. When they face a crisis in their businesses they are forced to shut down because they lack the ability to identify the reasons of loss. In today’s global world, education is required to enhance otherwise we will not be able to promote our industries.
A point to be taken into consideration is that the meaning of literacy gets changed in our country so that the figures could be molested even further. This is done in order to show that the current regime has made landmark achievements in the field of education. Sometimes, they say who can read and write are literate, while at times they say a person who has reached 5th standard is a literate and once it was also believed that a person who could calculate is also a literate, everyone knows 2+2=4, how silly ! As I said, 100 % literacy is not a reality but a dream, but those nations succeed who dream. But we can’t go on dreaming, we have to take measures for a Gratis educational system.

The problems have been OUTLINED..ITS TIME FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF SOLUTIONS

The Current Government has to take major strides to craft a way so that prosperity reaches our doorsteps. Therefore, they should solve the judiciary issue as soon as possible, so that they can move their eyes to areas where paramount concern is required instantaneously and fundamentally. Following methods should be taken so that Pakistan eradicates its social and economical problems.

Firstly, the government has to take the major step to restrain problems related to education. Child Labour should be banned, methods of financing educational institutes should be developed so that they could be backed so that students study free of cost, and should implement Islamic Studies compulsory for all from primary levels to University level so that social problems are eradicated. Moreover, awareness and ideas should be proposed through seminars, workshops, print and electronic media. Secondly, independent watchdogs or public inquiry commissions should be evolved, which are recognised internationally, so that a check and balance on corruption is outlined in our society. Separate committees should be created to protect the rights of consumers, labourers, etc. and additionally public should be provided a toll free, which should be confidential so that people who inform feel safe, to report malpractices. Furthermore, a forum which consists of intellectuals and people from all walks of life should be prepared which would bring solutions from the research made by the watchdog or the commission. Once solutions are created, it should be publicised in the media so that the Government remains on guard not to show lack of interest.

Interestingly, George Bernard Shaw said, ‘Islam is the best religion and Muslims are the worst’. Unfortunately, this standpoint is true as we as a society are so engulfed in the materialistic world of modernisation that we have chosen to forget the ideologies of Islam because we feel it would threaten our contemporary lifestyles. Social problems have arisen in our society; it has reached an alarming stage which is affecting our economic progress also. Through my modest experience in the practical world, I have come up with the conclusion that to solve these problems we need a revolution in the mind set of people and the weapon we should choose to destroy the insecurities is the teachings of Islam.
With its teachings, we can create a revolution in the field of economic and social well being.

To conclude, those nations are the unluckiest who are waiting for a hero to arrive and solve their troubles. This is not J.K Rowling’s imaginative world of Harry Potter, this is reality, and it hurts. An eye-bath is required so that issues are identified. In milieu, youth should be encouraged towards leadership so that more transparency is created in the world of politics. For instance, FLP(Future Leaders of Pakistan), a non profitable organisation has arrived and that too with a bang. It has recently held ‘Dialogue on Leadership’ at Lahore and Islamabad where youth was encouraged to come up with ideas to deal with the menaces in our country. The projects introduced by the participants were related to unemployment, illiteracy, environmental issues and self awareness. Sadly, such measures should have been taken by the Government so that youth can only concentrate on pursuing higher education. The implementation of the above methods to curtail inconveniences of this country now lies in the hands of the youth, who have gone an extra mile to take concrete measures to curtail the hierarchy of turmoil in our country, and the politicians. The youth sees the glass half full and therefore have manufactured a new clock which has created a new time – time for the elimination of hearsay in our country which will give what the people have been waiting for – peace.

For a Nation every Individual is the star in the galaxy of its destiny.

The story of Pakistan is the story of ambitious generals who are denying the people of their rights; therefore, today's Pakistan is a baby who is deprived of mother's milk. At the age of sixty, it should been as strong as a warrior. But due to the situations, this baby is not budding because of under-nourishment. The reasons for this under-nourishment are not inestimable and the solution of it lies in the mindset of the people. The two main circumstances which have led Pakistan to the edge of the pit are the following.

Firstly, the political turmoil is disturbing the growth of this country which was the brain child of its founders. Since 1947, Pakistan's politics is engulfed in power politics. Due to the fight for the chair and political victimization from the holder of the chair later on, Pakistan's resources are wasted by corrupt leaders who just want to succeed themselves or want to suppress their enemies – the general public. This type of governance, which is running for the past six decades in our country, is not democracy but ‘demo-crazy’. Secondly, the slogan raised by Iqbal and Jinnah was ‘Two Nation Theory’ which insisted for a separate country for the Muslims. Unfortunately, the constitution of our country is not very Islamic and even if a school of thought argue that it is, the ‘tits and bits’ present in the charter are not applied in the society. Thus lack of leadership and non application of the Islamic rule is the root cause for our grievances.

The Mother’s milk which this baby needs would be produced if it’s manufactured the following way. Importantly, lets not forget that we the People of Pakistan are Muslims first and Pakistanis later. To curb this menace of volatility we have to increase literacy in our country. Due to lack of education, of the religion and world, people with vested interests pull the wool over our eyes. We realize the facts when it’s too late because we are not able to differentiate between right and wrong. The key to end our misery is spreading education between the masses. The first step to be taken is to discourage Child Labor so that up bringing of the future generation is nurtured. It would be a tough pill to swallow for the poor, who have to make their children work to make the ends meet, but if we don’t plant the tree now then how come we would get the fruits of prosperity. Additionally, the government with its resources has to apply a valiant and expensive measure of making education on the house for all in all the provinces. As a result of the appliance of education, Pakistan will attain an intellectual workforce who would be equipped with the knowledge of the world and religion. As soon as these two motives are accomplished, political turmoil will wear out, Islamic laws would be applied effortlessly and prosperity will come to our door step to kiss our feet.

To achieve this milestone, we need a phenomenon in the ranks of our leadership swiftly. Leaders have to go through a re-incarnation process so that they see the bigger picture. The bigger picture is that we have to realize the fact that we are the servants of Almighty Allah and have come to this creation of his to carry out the duties he has assigned for us. Veteran politicians, once cleansed of impurities of the current materialistic world, have to guide the generation of new leaders to the path of honesty which lead this country into social and economic prosperity further.

Interestingly, everyone wants to be a leader but will not do the dishes with his mom which I wish is as false as prophecy as it is outlandish. One who wants to lead or is a leader of a family should provide the necessary guidance in his home because it will make the foundations of this country strong. Moreover, a leader should have courage to lead and the audacity to apply the change required rather than giving long speeches otherwise the above prophecy would turn out to be true. Furthermore, a leader is who leads the public to the path of success. Therefore, he should always keep in his mind that the main motive he is bestowed with power is to serve people rather than to rule them arrogantly. Power intoxicates and when one overcomes this notion, he has passed the test God has laid for him with flying grades which means one is fit to lead for eternity.

One should think over that these issues are the basis of our insecurity and realize these factors should not be thrown at the back burner otherwise our fate is doomed. We, the People of Pakistan, are given a chance to be the producers of our own destiny and if we stand united, we will overcome all problems. As God tells us to believe that whatever happens is for the good, then we the people should be thankful to the Lord for the current crises, food inflation and energy crisis, because it has made us united and has become a blessing in disguise for us. Crises create motivation and we are motivated to nourish this baby with the mother’s milk it has been deprived of.

Lawyers Win...The People shares the booty

The Restoration of judges is utmost essential for the stability of our nation. Mass protests by lawyers, boycott of the courts by them and political instability has shaken the foundations of this country. The existence of our nation has been dared as there is no respect for the most prominent leader of the country even if it’s iconic – The President.

When the President of the country gets ostracized, the only thing which gets signified is that the time of a revolution and rebellion has arrived. Musharaf should leave his office courteously but he is used to the comforts of the Army and President House and does not want to relinquish. Musharraf accuses the other leaders for corruption; ironically, he has been the most corrupt leader of all time in Pakistan. Ghulam Ishaq Khan ordered that not more than Rs 1000/day should be spent on the President while Rafiq Tarar reduced this menial amount furthermore. While Mr. Musharraf spends like a king, his recent European trip cost the exchequer millions is one good example. All these reasons along with the removal of the judges made the melting pot to explode. The lawyers have been the front runners in this rebellious movement because their institution was attacked directly by the President. The way the lawyers have stand united deserves a huge applause.

The reasons for which they deserve to be given a standing ovation are infinite because comparatively to other such movements around the world, this one has achieved immensely in a shorter span of time. Since March last year, the lawyers stood their ground against the tyrant and kick-started the revolution against the monarch. They wanted to prosecute him at the judiciary for his un-constitutional matters when Chaudary Iftikhar was reinstated. But, they did not lose hope and carried on their agitation after the draconian law of Martial Law/Emergency kicked the judges out of the court once again.

There were rallies all over Pakistan for the reinstallation of Chaudary Ifthikar. In that way, the lawyers educated the public the importance of the judicial system. They made the people understand that only way for a ‘free and fair’ judicial system is through a judiciary which does not tilt towards powerful personalities. There were two other groups of people who earned a lot due to this lawyer’s movement – political parties and the people of Pakistan.

Political parties who had confusion in their ranks, mainly opposition parties, stood united with the lawyers to achieve their goals. Their motive was to kick him out of his office and they knew that this is enough. They supported the lawyers, won elections on the manifesto of restoration of judiciary and people of Pakistan did the rest. The lawyers should never forget the support the people of Pakistan have given them by voting for Anti-Musharraf forces and vice versa. Crisis creates motivation and the molestation of the constitution motivated all for a revolution.

Money is more significant than us...TODAY

Money has more significance than anything in this world. Money is the winner in the race for success in which relationships get disqualified at the starting line these days, which is entirely wrong. This assumption will bring worldly goods temporarily and bring woes thereafter. People have become so materialistic that money has become has become a primary concern while relationships come a distant second. The craze for money has made everyone a maniac and this world a mental asylum.

The story of hare and tortoise can used to depict the norms of the world these days. Figuratively, hare is the ‘haughty money crazy creature’ who loses the race for success because of his non comprehension of human relationships and the ‘humble intelligent tortoise’ win this race because he chose the right arsenal to gain victory i.e. health and blessings, with the wealth of guidance, patience and satisfaction. The ‘crazy for money’ people will fall down in a deep ditch and will only be rescue themselves out of the dilemma once they get their ‘eyes’, relationships, to guide them to their destination.

There are two groups in this race for money where everything and everyone else come second. Firstly, there is a group which is running for money to meet the two ends. Additionally, the other group is sprinting for money to maintain the standards of living. Moreover, in this race for survival populace have forgotten the most vital thing in life- Relationships. But both should not forget the fundamental aspect of love as without it things will go downhill one day.

Relationships are the most vital thing which is needed to endure in this world. There are several categories in relationships. Relationship with God, with parents, with siblings, with wives and children are few examples. In other words, any form of unconditional love is the antidote to the problems to this world.

Firstly, having a good relationship with God reaps the benefit of a vigorous and blessed life. Secondly, a good relationship with elders is lucrative as you seek guidance, find comfort and get blessings from them, which is like water for the thirsty. Moreover, love from a wife gives satisfaction and teaches patience along with it which helps to learn different aspects of life. Finally, love and respect you gain from brothers and sisters at the end of a tiring day is like an out of the blue reward which gives one a feeling of triumph.

The key to survive is maintaining good relationships rather than running for money and shunning loved ones. If one maintains good relationships blessings in the work-field will come twelve fold. Thus, one should not desert this critical facet of life as life without it is groundless. There is a school of thought which says money can buy happiness which is definitely not true. Maintaining relationships is a tree which will reap you three benefits at the end of the ‘harvest’ season – love, patience, satisfaction and monetary gains. Therefore, hug and remember loved ones rather than the devil that lures us to money.
